Suprised the hell out of me. Thought he would be found guilty of something. Listening to the jurors boy they are a bunch of stupid gits. Can't answer a question fully. Just watch as the book deals start rolling in.

Question: What does Michael Jackson like most about twenty-eight year olds?
Answer: There are twenty of them.

The mother was the defense's best witness.

Actually it was the prosecutor's fault. He should have focused on the molestation charges and not gone off looking for conspiracy theories. Then momma wouldn't have been up there along with so many others. They let the defense walk right over the prosecution witnesses.

Somebody made a good point last night on tv. While you may not like MJ, or his actions, and while sleeping with boys is completely inappropriate, it's still not illegal. Can't let the fact that we like or don't like someone play into whether they are guilty or innocent. This is still america.

You may be right. But do not ignore that our system is designed to convict as many guilty as possibly, while convicting NO INNOCENTS. So it is a weighted system, erring in favor of those who are innocent. If this is corruption, I'll live with it.

Let's be perfectly clear. NOTHING in yesterday’s legal proceedings indicates that MJ is innocent. He was found NOT GUILTY of the allegations against him regarding these incidents with this kid.
In our system of jurisprudence, you don't get convicted on previous charges, only the current ones and only if proven beyond a reasonable doubt. The prosecutor has a vendetta against MJ and let his emotions cloud his assessment of the strength of his case. He went overboard on the charges and didn't have the evidence to back it up. Consequently, his case was not credible to the jury.
Honestly, I think the jurors made the right choice based upon the preponderance of evidence. Is MJ a child molester? I think he probably is. But I think in his deluded perspective, he really believes he did nothing wrong.
Does our legal system need improvement? Maybe, but not based upon this case. Eight white women and 4 white men in Santa Barbara County, some of whom are parents, say that based upon the evidence presented, this poor freak of a human being in not guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. I think the system worked perfectly. In countries where a rush to judgment would have found Jackson guilty, there are tens of thousands of innocents sitting in a gulag (or the like) right now.
God bless America.

Tower -You said it very well.
Did he probably do it? Yeah, I think he did. Was the evidence there, no it wasn't. We HAVE to go on the evidence. Would your neighbor probably be guilty, yeah he would. This shows how money can play a huge role into our legal system. The sad part of the story is that a boy was probably molested, a mother put her son into that situation, and Micheal Jackson has some real problems. The only thing good that I can see from this case is that money trumped race. Maybe as a society we are progressing past these issues. 100 years ago this case probably would have never gone to trial. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Very well said, FIRM.

Jackson got the best justice money can buy.
I think the jurors should be required to send their kids to Jackson's ranch for a week!

Personally I don't know if he was guilty of these charges or not because I was not in the court room every day to hear all the evidence. I actually didn't follow the trial at all. Do I think he is a freak and most likely has committed the crimes he was charged with at some point? MOST DEFINITELY. This is just my opinion and there is no way to prove or dispute it. I have never liked the guy but that can not be the reason for a conviction. I was surprise and disappointed by the verdict but I think is was just a case of reasonable doubt and the defense did their job.
Just my opinion

You guys are right! If it was your neighbor, or your Pastor, or your Son's coach, that person would be in Jail, and he wouldn't have any friends left. UNBELIEVABLE!
The article I read this morning says that there wasn't enough evidence to convict him of "these" charges, and that the jury believes he has abused boys in the past, just not this boy.
Quote:Later, several used their names during interviews with the news media, including Juror No. 1, Raymond Hultman, 62. He told The Associated Press in an interview at his home that he believed Jackson may have molested at least two boys - but not the accuser.
He said he voted to acquit Jackson in the current case because he had doubts about the accuser's credibility. "That's not to say he's an innocent man,'' Hultman said. "He's just not guilty of the crimes he's been charged with.''
Why do people even let their kids go there?

Wow Fubar, an actual H2 question!?!
This was in the Azusa Canyon off-road park itself (the one that ends in a giant mud bowl), except that the recent rain + reopening of the areas that were closed forever, made the park feel completely new! It was awesome!
We did not wheel with the H3 yet, I followed 3 x H1s. You should see them literally "bounce" on the perimeter of the mud bowl area (which has a solid surface but liquid bottom).. it was crazy to watch -- as if they're driving over a trampoline!

Damn, I wanted to see the losers in LA riot. I love it how they tear apart their own neighborhoods.
