<<<< NOTE >>>>
Most of this thread with the threats, insults, bickering, etc. has been removed.
This is an excellent thread with a lot of info we all can use, but the b.s. that was removed added nothing to the thread or the site for that matter.
I apologize if I got a little trigger happy, but did my best to remove only the worthless stuff.
Regards,
Jason

Make sure you start with fresh (unworn) idler and pitman arms. also have spare inner tierods which you should be able to get from your dealer seperately. 3/4ton pickup is the same. I also suggest you go in at Wentworth Springs instead of Loon Lake Hell's gate is just that. Bypass Little Sluice and be very careful at the beginning of drop into Big Sluice. Most important thing to take is a GOOD spotter and a lot of patience. The camp at Buck isle lake is a really good half way point and the scenery is unbeatable. If your going in October be sure check the weather forcast. Any other questions I will do my best to help you out.

Now the question is: are any of you against me removing some of the "worthless" posts on this thread.
There is some good info on here and it might be good to continue that conversation?
You comments and opinions are welcomed.

DRTYFN,
As Kirk said, we had a blast running a third of the tail of the Rubicon (sort of a backwards route). We entered on the McKinney/Rubicon road side (West Shore just outside Tahoma).
We have a boat load of pix and a movie to make yet, but it is a trip you won't forget. The H2's did excellent.
In fact we met a Jeep Rubicon coming up this fine little rocky single track and he was perplexed to see us and asked "did you guys bring the H2's down the rock garden?" We said "Yup".
I will warn you though: you need to have an experienced spotter to go along. Without our spotters our casualties would have been much worse. Most of us just banged up our skids, rocker bars and nipped a few wheels.
If you are interested in seeing more pix or being included on our Northern California Hummer Group event list, email me at H2Norcal@sbcglobal.net. I am the group coordinator and I can give you more details if you need them.
We have a lot of events on the table (some foul weather runs) and some 'very Northern' events slated for the Mendocino forest.
Shoot me an email or keep an eye out for our website ( www.norcalhummergroup.org). It is not quite ready but will be up soon.

You said it DRTYFN!!!!! I'm very pleased to see these guys come along and so well fit in. Based on some "other forum" attacks in the past, we've all become leary of newcomers. AND other brands have their issues with figuring Hummer owners are a bunch of snobs & elitist who think they're better then everyone else.
It's great to see we can all get along and rise above the little issues. I only wish Kelley & Melissa could be here to see this.
In the end, we all just like to get out and enjoy the outdoors with our toys.
I have a completely unique idea....why not celebrate this collaboration of multi-brand cooperation with some kind of national holiday. We could call it....say....."Thanksgiving" and we could celebrate it every...say...November, on the 3rd Thursday of said month? That shouldn't conflict with any other dates.
Seriously...this is a good thing that I'm happy to see happening here.

O.k. Guys & Gals,
It's getting close to our Rubicon Run and I'm curious as to how many of you will be showing up?
Please reply and also list what type of vehicle you'll be driving.

I was in front of Blackhawkdown in my H2 up to the point that we stopped at what looked like a boat ramp. It wasn't Kdio driving the H1 in the lake that you see. And like Blackhawk said...it did look like a boatramp/launch.
Thanks Dax for the use of the CB and I look forward to more trips with you. Seriously, I'm looking to sell my H2 and buy an H1 now. Keep me informed on any deals.

Jim, I had almost 900 pictures and had to cut em down. You ran off with the Tough Country boys for most of the time, and we missed you the entire first day! I'll see what I can find.
It is located near Austin Texas

Oh man.....I am sooo jealous!!!!
I'm gonna have to get me one of those mythical monsters for our next event. How does Brian do it?????
Just so everyone knows...Brian is putting together a Northern California Hummer group. I'd call it a "Hummer Club"...but that title seems to be associated with another club of sorts. Anyone in Norhtern California of related areas should give Brian a holler and get put on their club email list!
Here's Brian and son at our Pismo event.

Be nice and don't throw anything at me.
I don't know about a caravan. Haven't had any confirmations. Might just be a couple of us. We might be able to fly under the radar and avoid heckling.
