Who are you kidding.......Let's go back to how all this got started. A fellow H2 owner decided to share a video of some off-roading with the group. Most folks generally appreciate seeing stuff like that....regardless of the quality...
But not good enough.......a couple of H2 owners, who believe that they have conquered the meca of all off-roading start bad-mouthing him about it. A couple of H1 owners speak up for him, and then all hell breaks loose.

You keep digging those holes in the ice and pulling out those trouts one at a time.......687,436 lbs more and you too will be able to afford an H1.

WOW Ken...

Is that pic of the "jeep car" real? Or a photo chop?

I think it looks sort of cool.

(Not going to get one, but still easy on the eye...)

LMAO!!! Psychobilly!!!!

Your predicament would be sad if it weren`t pathetic.

Getting spanked and raped here and PBB (Priceless! ) and you haven`t swallowed a bullet yet.

Either you`re an advanced stage retard or you dropped out in grade 2 when they were teaching the no no`s of eating paint chips.

I think the man has a point about the image thing... and cutting down trees. I must will admit it's not something I really thought of too much.

I guess all of us have our own point of view.

Let's be fair to Dennis. He thinks (& I agree he's right) that my H2 probably could have been pushed harder than it was. I choose not to. He probably would have choose otherwise. His call, his wish.

He's got a lot more experience and knowlege than I do in these things apparently. It seems a greater tolerance for damage.

I'm comfortable with that.

We just see the world differently. And that is OK.

I just don't live up to his standards of what a hummer driver should be. I'm comfortable with that too. I'm just having fun on my own terms. I hope he enjoys the same.

You can rest assured that I will not sit in judgement of his driving skills. I just don't feel the need to measure myself against him or anyone else.

Back the tree thing...

I see the whole tree thing from a different angle too.

I guess I got jaded about the whole chainsaws and trees cut down thing.

I must have become "tree insensitive" at work... you see... a couple of twigs at the Funlands aren't the first to die for my Hummer...

Here's picture from "the yard" at "work"

so... let the whining about dead trees roll in!

I think it took about 310 acres of clear cut trees to pay for my Hummer....

And yes... now that you mention it I probably could have winched off of somethings, but no we didn't care to waste the time.

But it is a point taken, and will be in the back of my mind.

My main thought about trees is that they "grow back".

Different world views I guess.

Live well

How is owning both, and having an opinion based on that, one-sided?

You can't answer this question so just leave it alone. I'm sure there's others out there who have both so let's just let them chime in.

i never crowned myself, i just saw a ton of bitching on here and was basically saying let it go and quit the bitch fest, instead i get dragged into it, how long have you been involved in off-roading? it is a strong brotherhood and i didnt like seeing the bashing, im starting to understand as to why it is this way though... let me guess pretty rich boy whos mommy and daddy gave him everything but common sense and manners... you really are an idiot

You mean everyone on the jeep site knew about it. If everyone knew about it and it was the truth then why the posts continue saying otherwise.....

LMAO. Have you looked at any of Alec's 10,000 pictures of wheeling in Colorado? Steep, rocky, loose, muddy. Maybe you should do some research before you open your yap.

Alec and I had some great PM exchanges last night.

(Absolutely no sarcasm here)

And I think he raised some good points about the tree thing. My personal feels about it aside, I think Alec has a point that it does nothing for the greater.

I think that some of the guys from out west have some real concerns about the politics of the matter, deal with some real crap helping keep the trails open, and I don't think it's asking too much to show them some support.

About 4 hours ago we did some edits to the video, trimmed out the 90 or so seconds of chainsaw footage from the 2 spots it appears, and started a fresh compile which will start later tonight when I will replace the source on the server.

Please don't anyone get on Alec about this, he did not request it. He has some real concerns about the politics of the matter and I think they are valid. So changes made.
