Hey,

I'm planning to upgrade the performance of my H2 with after market headers. I'd like to hear from somebody that already has done some moding some opinion about different options I have. Without having much of experience the ones that H2S Online Store sell look pretty good...

Can you really tell the difference of the truck once you have performance headers installed and do they really give you that ~14hp?

Thanks!

The B & B Headers are among the best--can you feel 14 HP--not really.

There are tons of posts on here about headers---just hit the find button so I do not have to rewrite it all here.

PM me if you have questions after reading--I know headers.

I noticed the HP when towing a boat. I also get 25 MPG now.

i have HEADMAN headers and by far i am really happy with them. My vehicle was used to prototype the 6.0 headers and they are great.
the only deal with headers is the constant tightening. But otherwise its very nice. it made my exhaust a bit quieter expecially with the custom 1.5 in throttle body spacer. if you got ?'s let me know too.

Why the constant tightening?

There are real cheap bolt locks on the market--have them on both of mine--never any tightening

not saying constant tightening. but you want to check them every month to make sure because a leak will cost you a bunch... its just a pain in the ass.. i love my headers though

I would stay away from the Edelbrocks. The welds on the drivers side crack for some reason and Edelbrock will not stand behind them. I am on my second pair and now they are cracked. I personally know of 2 other H2 owners in my area that have had the exact same problem...drivers side only and Edelbrock will not sell just one side! My next set will be the B&B or Gibson.
