Rhyno,

Thanks for your useful feedback on the SMA catback exhaust system. I'll put out the same questions about the SMA system as a topic to get feedback from others also.

I drove an H3 at the dealer with the SMA exhaust system and a cold air intake. Too noisy and not very pleasant sounding. I think most of the noise was from the intake setup.

Enjoy your yellow H3.

Steve

Too wide of an offset for me. That thingies will cover your ride with mud in offroad situations all over.

Kacyk, I havn't had any rocks kick up at my fenders because are streets are pretty clean but I will put my stock tires back on 4 winter. When i drive in the rain my truck gets very dirty cause of all the spray from the tires. Mud guards would help a bit, but since they don't cover the whole tire you will still get rocks kicking up. Just get the 3m film and put it on your fenders. If you go on dirt roads alot you fenders will probably get beat up pretty quick.

I used to love that in my Jeep, but don't think I will in my Hummer.

They are impressive looking tires. As for states and fender flares, most require them, but most do not enforce the law. But it gives them the right to stop you at anytime.
My biggest concern would be, will the offset cause premature bearing wear?

The catback exhaust is made by SMA. It sounds good, deeper than stock, nice sound at idle. For the price I wouldn't do it again, I would just go to a muffler shop and have a new muffler installed. It drone's a little at freeway speed and has NO noticeable power increase.

MPG is the same with the tires and the exhaust.

The tires and wheels cost about $4000 canadaian mounted and installed.

I think I'm going to put the 3M clear film on the sides of the fenders so I don't get alot of rock chips.

It also get's dirty way faster with this much offset but it's worth it!!

I dont know what the laws are in Canada. Here in USA some states you cant have the wheel sticking out beyond the fender without fender flares to cover them.Something to think about.

How can they not? I can almost get the stocks to stuff and rub. GREAT if they don't. You may want to clearbra the hell out of those fender flares though.

Rhyno,

The local tire shop put on my 35's and they fit, albeit extremely tight. I ordered the rims and they should arrive in a week. The tire will stick out a bit as in your case as well. I'm contemplating getting mud guards but I'd rather not if I can avoid it.

I'm concerned that I'm going to kick up rocks all the time and have to paint the rear fender flare all the time. The 35's stuck out on our H2's but then it didn't have the fender flares either.

What's your experience? Shoudl I get the mud guards? Also, even if I did get the guards it wouldn't totally cover the width of the tire anyway.
