You guys get some Slate Blue H3s in? I saw that forum member Grendel (from KCMO) posted a pic of one his fiancé just picked up yesterday. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
That was our first one. It was a sold order and they picked it up pretty quick, had a few people that wanted to see it but they were too slow to get here and see it.

While I have no doubts that I could install it myself, I was going off of what Georgemarc had stated in a previous post on the pricing. He's in my neck of the woods, so I figured I'd be in the same boat as him for the upgrade.
The lack of the lock (sounds like a rap song or something!) just erks me to no end. I want that lock!

Mine was from Sewell Dallas. Trust me, once you see it on another H3, you will get over that it doesn't lock

Well, that makes sense to me now because I have seen on the internet the GM Chrome Gas Cap "No Locking Cap" and that the locking portion was optional.
Now I ask you, other than "Bling" purposes, WTF is the purpose of that expensive piece of $hit gas cap? I mean almost $300 (installed) for a small piece of chrome? That's insane! It better lock for that much!
I'm glad I read this as I will be going in this week to purchase some additional goodies...and this will not be one of them now. Damn it!

H3OH
You can install this in 15 minutes yourself
the MSRP is 165.00
benefits...I will keep the crud out of the gas opening... and in snowing states, make it easy to fill up with getting water in the tank. This area is prone to collection of snow and water...

When you go back for your other goodies, take a look at one H3 that has the cap and see if that doesn't change your opinion.

The more expensive one, that says Hummer, matches the chrome wheels. As I said check them both out when you go back to the dealership.

I'd rather put the $300 to the chrome wheels (which I'm kicking myself for not getting) than the non-functional chrome gas door.
The only reason I wanted the door in the first place was the locking part. The chrome was just gravy on top. I'd take the look of the "original" gas cap, but I hate the fact it doesn't lock. Too many a-holes out there that get into jealous fits and screw with other people's property...heh, you down with OPP?
