My eBay contact has the 37 MT/R's back in stock. Unfortunately he is asking $400 bills a piece.
Here is his email if anyone is interested.

MTR's are good tires but there are certainly good tires out there that compete. Look at PJ dirt grips or swampers, just look around. I have MTR's that have 16K miles that are destroyed from offroading in the desert on the sharp rocks. I'll probably buy PJ dirt grips next time.

BFG's are great tires, other than Swamper Bias-plys, all I have run for over 20 years, and never had a problem The Mud's are awsome off road for what you guys do. Ultimate is the Swamper bias plys, but they suck on the road. BFG's are a great choice!

I emailed the guy last night and he told me that what he had were 40s, not 37s. So maybe there was a bit of confusion in the conversation. I offered him 250 for 37s and he said he would be in touch as soon as he had them.

Yes I have them on my 99 Sub. Great warranty, which is good as I am on my 2nd set in 4K miles.. My Sub wanders on the interstate and pulls when I break.. Not real impressed with them in the snow.. I had Grapplers on before and liked them a lot better...

Anyone have any experience with the Pro Comp Mud Terrains? They look similar to the MTs.

Jigga,
Did you ever get a set. I checked with someone locally (in Jackson) and they can have a set in about week for $266.35 per tire, out-the door, including taxes.

Paragon-
I would be interested in picking up five if they can ship them out to Houston, Texas for a decent price. Let me know if this local person would be willing to do it. If so, post his contact info either here or in a PM and I'll give him a holler.
Thanks in Advance...

I am getting ahold of him again to see if he is sure he can get them. One of my businesses did some work form him in the past and he owns 5 or 6 local tire stores.
Let me make sure before I post the information on him though.

Tire guys are all the same, it doesn't matter if they own the joint or just work there. He told me yesterday he could get them.
Caught up with him and he was at a store near where I was this a.m. so I dropped by. "Sorry, they are on national back-order, but these BF Goodrich's are just as good."
Sorry for getting your hopes up.

I have decided to get some more of my money out of the stock tires. I did happen to find the Holy Grail during my quest for the elusive 37" MTR. Anyone need a grail?

MT/R Hounds,
Came across this on eBay today.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2455792963
Good Luck.
BTW - I will say that I am VERY impressed with these tires. Have had them for 6 weeks now. Excellent traction off-road and on snow. Very little to no difference in noise level on the highway.

Not sure if I should take a chance on Ebay or just keep waiting till these tires are available. If they are new, then why are they mounted on an H1?? Also the price is too high to take a chance on them.

I managed to get a hold of four new 37x12.5R17 Goodyear Wrangler MT/R tires in December. I will be mounting them once my wheels are finished.
I'm still looking for a fifth tire.
Anyone want to give up completing a set of four and sell me one new tire?!

BF Goodrich is French [It's a Michelin product].
So, unless the Good Years are $500.00+ for a set more than the BF Goodrich, I'd rather support an American company [though they might be manufactured in China for all we know].
Explorer ProComp [Cooper of Ohio] is better than BF Goodrich too - not just my opinion.
