Default Power Extension to Dash Top

Hi All,

Has anyone ran aftermarket wires down through the dash? I see there is a cap on the drivers side over the hole that contains the sensor in the passenger side. Would this be a way of running a power extension from the top down to the bottom to connect into the das power outlet? I want to install the extensions so I can mount gear on the dash without having to hard wire everything.

Thanks!
C

You could probobly just run the wire out the vent in center of dash.Or around the outside /back of dash. Im not sure if you can run it through the cap?.
The outlets are powered 24/7 so you might want to use a rap circut through a relay so you have power through the key only .

I magnet mounted my backup camera monitor to the driver's side dash. I ran the wire between the windshield and the dash and dropped the wire down where the parking brake is. The trim is flexible between the windshield and the dash and can conform to a cable/wire.
