Gee, what happens when those batteries leak? Let me tell you since mine just got replaced. The toxic acid gets all over the place, the bad battery gets sent to be buried underneath one of these people's houses and then they use a new anti corrosive spray paint to repair any damage from the battery. Sounds environmentally friendly to me.

Has anyone seen or read The Skeptical Environmentalist? I just happened upon this book on-line. It looks pretty cool. I doubt the guy drives a Hummer but I don't think he's flipping us off either.
Here is one excerpt:
In The Skeptical Environmentalist Bjørn Lomborg challenges widely held beliefs that the global environment is progressively getting worse. Using statistical information from internationally recognized research institutes, Lomborg systematically examines a range of major environmental issues and documents that the global environment has actually improved. He supports his argument with over 2900 footnotes, allowing discerning readers to check his sources.
Lomborg criticizes the way many environmental organizations make selective and misleading use of scientific data to influence decisions about the allocation of limited resources. The Skeptical Environmentalist is a useful corrective to the more alarmist accounts favored by green activists and the media.

Wow
After seeing that site I'm honored to be an H2 owner. If by simply ploping down 55K you can piss people off....Hum maybe my wife need one also. I have never seen a hateful website on corvettes, Mack trucks, or jet airplanes.
