Re: ----Throttle Body Spacer----
Haven't used a spacer, but I'm very skeptical that they do any good on Vortec engines.
Vortec heads are already designed to swirl the air right before it hits the injectors. But if the spacer promotes any "swirling" at all, it's too far away to do any good. I'm more inclined to think the extra turbulence is counter-productive, since the engineers designed the heads without them. You do get more sound after you install a spacer, but I think it's the sucking sound of your money going down the drain.
imho, you're better off putting that money towards a cold-air intake and high performance exhaust.

Re: ----Throttle Body Spacer----
I have one on mine. I can't say I have noticed any difference with or without it. When I put one on my Dakota I noticed a difference but I also had a K&N FPK and a Flowmaster exhast system. It can't hurt..... I get 15 mpg around town and 12 towing 4,400 lbs.

Re: ----Throttle Body Spacer----
Don't you think if the engineers could get a bit more HP and mpg with a throttle body spacer it would be designed in at the factory?
Some engines now have longer intake manifold runners which kind of simulates the old high rise manifolds.
