Nice find. Anybody know how they attach? I assume that's what the "flash zinced hardware" is for...

Are you from AZ? I travel to phx a ton and see sooooo many h2's and they are all blinged up! Do you agree? But i see a lot of other rigs that makes me think there must be some decent wheeling around...

The vechile paint I'm not too worried about for the most part the scratches from Kayne Creek's forest will buff out. The damage to the rims is another story but I'm now of the mind set that wheeling causes damage so live with it, as much as possible.

If you are going to wheel you have to let the paint thing go. Scrapes and scratches are part of it and that’s about it.

You have two choices:
a). Pay the $$ and replace the scratched bling
b). Get everything you can powder coated and rattle can the scratched parts </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

We got some great trails here in Arizona. And we got some good ones around the Phoenix area.
There is a lot of blinged up Hummer H2 in the area, you will see they once at a Hummer dealer event, and then you will never see them again.
I hit all the Hummer events in the Phoenix area.
You could say that I am a Off Road Junkie.

Yes. Run Photos from Upper Woodpecker with H1's (March of 2005) can be found here:

http://www.clubphoto.com/_cgi-bin/ecom/tracker.pl?r=ss1.../3158969/guest.phtml

It's a very doable run. The Arizona Association of 4WD Clubs rates it a 4.0 to 4.5+ out of 5.

I'm going to the Chile Challenge Feb 21-26, so the Hummer event was out for me. Woodpecker trail has the potential for carnage. Follow the spotters directions exactly.

Would you like to share some of your favorite off-road spots? I may be headed your way (to Yuma) in the spring. I wanted to do a trail from Tuscon to Yuma without hitting the blacktop but I never found one.

Rodster,
Big O will not take them back because of owner stupidity and I don't blame them.

They also said they had no idea about a repair kit.

To be honest it would not have mattered what type of 18 inch rims I had, they would have gotten dinged up on the particular trail I was on.
Bigger tires might have helped prevent the damage. 35's on 18 inch rims look great in my opinion but aired down that extra inch of rim size isn't helping. As seen by my dings if I had stayed with 17 inch rims those dings on the rim would have been on the side wall of the tire and not on the rim.

I'm considering the rancho 4 inch lift and will have to re-think tire size and rim choice. At this point I don't know what I want to do. I love wheeling and dings are going to be part of that experience. That is something I will have to live with.

Fubar -- You plan on replacing/returning your wheels?

I have some pretty bad scratches, too, although a constant coat of trail dirt keeps them looking good.

I swapped emails with A/R about the off-road-advertised teflon not holding up off-road. Here's what they had to say:

I don’t have a repair kit yet, we are working on it. I will forward this to my guys in California at the factory who were working on it. I really don’t know where they stand at this moment.

Title of thread, "Where's Woodpecker Trail?"

My first thought was "Miss Piggy's butt"

Just thought you'd like to know.

Thanks rodster!

I was reading where Road & Track took a group of H3's through there in 3 hours. It looks like fun. (Definitely do-able.) Located near Florence, AZ, just southeast of Phoenix.

The trail ratings in the link above, gives some of the obstacles 4 and 4+ ratings. One bypass gets rated a 4 also. I noticed there weren't any Hummers in their group. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

If you ever go, let me know an I will join, i'm in phx all the time </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Thanks! I'll keep that in mind!
