Yeah..the lack of childlocks does suck. My two year old son can reach over far enough to roll down the window so I'am a little concerned. Childlocks should be mandatory.

Can you disable the ability for those in the rear to unlock the doors?
Just trying to think of a work around...

Anyone get a fullsize, rear facing car seat into it? Did you have to move the front seats forward? or could they be fully back?
Please post photos of your install if you have them.
Can you get two forward facing carseats and one rearfacing car seat installed at the same time?
How family friendly is the H3?!?!?!?

umm....no. Maybe i should i have phrased it differently. I should have said, "I think that tells me that the H3 isn't for ALL children." Regardless if he cried or not, I wouldn't want him riding in it with out child locks.
I would rather think about a child's safety than what the child wants. But if your daughter knows best, then i guess she'll be getting a ride to school in a hummer rather than a mini-van (probably with child lock).

Yeah...already done that but the fact that getting to the door handle isn't much farther is what concerns me.

Of course it is
But that doesn't take away from the fact that the H3 is perfectly safe for kids which are properly restrained in the backseat. Frankly if I was to get in an auto accident with my child, I'd much rather be in the Hummer than my Odyssey any day of the week.
Are child locks good? YES
Would it be nice for them to be in the H3? YES
Does the lack of them make the H3 inherently unsafe for kids? NO WAY. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
You are right. Dont get me wrong, I love my H3.
But there may be other people out there that may think that due to the fact that there are no child locks, that the H3 is not so family friendly.

When the doors are locked, you have to first open (unlock) the lever right above the door release lever.

No car seats in mine but I do recall a thread about this where somebody tried putting three car seats in and they didn't fit. Now they could have been all forward facing or rear facing. Two forward and one rear facing might work, but I don't know for sure.
