OR, he'll end up in jail like the two rednecks who stabbed two friends of mine while on an expedition to Kent State University. That was in 1991 and they're still in prison. After some of our group figured out what had happened the two stabbers were on the ground being kicked to a pulp. Lucky for them the cops arrived. They were really a mess. Same deal, we invaded their space (over 100 of us), the townies got pissed off (drunk) pulled the knives and here we are. I knew EXACTLY the type of guy this was. THAT is why I did not make eye contact with him. He was looking for it and anything would have set him off.

MAC - I spent all morning checking the links NC provided and referenced him as being helpful in my original email. Thank you for your offer, but that is more than what I can rent one for.

I had my associate post this originally, but when I read the replies he was getting, I decided to post an additional message to try and get some better suggestions.

THANKS NC & MAC for your REAL answers!

For what its worth, this is for a armed forces promotion - that is the reason why we are using a Hummer.

Maybe I should have just asked for someone who is interested in helping out our armed forces!

What's worse than a bad offer? no offer at all. My $30,000 was the first and still only offer. Everyone has a price, for $30K, maybe I'll go through the trouble. For some of you maybe it is $5K. Once an offer is on the table, we are in business, if that Todd is smart enough to counter that, he could've a $6K deal from someone by now. I did him a favor he was not smart enough to grab it.

One of the many folders in my briefcase now is a $1.2 Million annual contract. I made the first quote this AM, they will come back to ask for less. I built in $100K+ for the expected back and forth, it will drag on. If I started with the real price, I would have no room to move down. Nobody takes the first offer, this is not kindergarten play. For new clients, when they don't come back, often that is sign of a not-serious buyer. You have to judge that, we see green kids wasting time on deadend deals.

When you get a high price from a dealer, you don't snap and call the dealer JACKASS. In business, we are trained to judge clients and spot fraud by what they say and do and how they say and do it.

Alec, from time to time, people I know asked me to introduce them to bankers, lawyers, judge or to join a club. I am usually very careful, unless I know the person very well. Because what they do to/with others will be a reflection of me, my reputaion and ability to judge will be on the line. But this Hummer site thing is no big deal at all. Who cares if he is for real, smart or stupid, rude or Disco. Can't think of one reason why it matters to you or me.

Todd,

Check Team Chevy Hummer on Coloroda Blvd. They had a wrapped H1 that's just sitting on the lot. Tell them Jason told you about it and talk to Jeremy Gump.

If that doesn't work call R.B. Tech in LA. They do work for 310 motoring and have many contacts. They work on H2's all the time.

I should have thought of these first but they just came to mind.

I am much much nicer all of the above, you can count on me. $30,000 cash up front for 3 months, you can drive it to CA, TX, NV, AZ, You can sponsor or be sponsored or whatever. Oh, yeah, $40,000 refundable security deposit, less damages and clean up. Insurance required. Simple and straight forward, I am ready when you are.
