Doesn't piss me off, but blame goes to those idiots back in the 60s/70s who signed the contracts with the Unions. Back when GM/Ford/Chrysler were kings of the auto world, they could have refused to sign.
Unions were good in the early days, helping to bring safety into the plant, but they started a hierarchy that is stagnating the large corporations.
I will say that not all UAW workers feel this way, some are very practical, and understand they have had a pretty good ride and it has to be trimmed down in order to save their jobs. After working in a plant, alongside many UAW workers, my thoughts are it is 50/50 with those who work hard, respect the company and understand hard times, versus those who could care less if they had a job tomorrow or not.
Next year should be one to watch, GM/Ford/Chrysler will have to get a lot of concessions such as no more job banks, union to at least pay as much for healthcare as the salaried, and if you don't work, you hit the door.

Well Put F5...

The best Days were the 60's 70's... There are Plus's and Minus's on both sides. The way I see it the Big 3 will be around to continue the Inovation's they created back in the day. Least we for get Box "X" frames Corvette's Fuel Injection and a host of other things the General and the Other American Auto Makers Brought forth in our Cars.

I don't listen to the neh sayers... There full of Crap. GM is going thru some changes but I belive they will be around with the help of there workers to
pull the Company thru these hard times.

As stated before ..I will support the General and buy GM..

You just don't flush a Company the Size of the General and all that it's done for America down the tubes.

As the saying goes. "My Country Right Or Wrong"

The same applies here "My Car Company Right Or Wrong"

Man..........Ain't I a Flag Waver... </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
