That's what the interior of our current $60K plus H2's should look like NOW!!

Wow nice job GM. I guess I will not be buying this version one either. Look at the passenger rear windows. They will not go all the way down. My salesmanager had one and the windows went down like 6 inches. What a joke.

I like it. Doesn't look as tough as the previous version but I do like. The interior is very nice too. I think the new interior will help sales a lot. I know several people who have purchased Navigators in recent years rather than slades or Tahoes because of the interior. I wish that GM could follow Ford's cue and make the third row seats fold flat into the floor though.

UGH! hate how this vehicle line gets softer and softer every year.......looks like a soft Ford Expedition at this point
I grew up with the OLD jimmy and blazer styles (my first was a 1973 jimmy that I lifted). I still own a 1999 tahoe (lifted as well) that I picked up as soon as I saw how the 2000 redesign sucked.
Sorry for the rant but crap like this is why I made the jump to the H2.

Any tidbits on the new H2 Alpha? I'm going to LV on the 16th on my way back from Moab to look at it.

All I can say is we have people who are scooping up the '06 Tahoes and Burbs right now. many who have seenthese photos aren't impressed. I do find the new rigs to be very Fordish....My owner told me the same thing happened when the current Burbs and Tahoes came out. People flocked to buy the 99's. I guess to each his own, but I must say I don't think GM scored any brownie points with these new designs

I see your point but the suburban is too big. I can't see why they wouldn't put a triangle window on the door like all of the other vehicles on the market. It is not like they havn't done it before. The Envoy's windows go down. The Navigator has had them since the beginning.

I think GM has hit home runs.
90% of the public has no clue that a new body style is due nor have seen it. The official unveiling of this was yesterday and the spy shots left a lot to be desired so I doubt any buyers are buying due to a style change.
This is a basic Tahoe.

That's the only way to achieve a fully down due to the length and where the wheel well resides. You have to have a "skinny" window for it to fit down into the door pocket. Splitting the window up with a bar is the only way and I am not fond of that look. I would rather have the window go down only as far as possible. Different strokes, you can't please everyone on each item.

I think it looks great and I think it will be a hit once again. I knew they wouldn't stray for the current body style too much as they are just too popular. I can drive to work and count 10 Yukon's and Tahoe's before I see one Expedition or Navigator. If they changed it too dramatically they'd lose their customer base. I think the biggest improvement is the interior which was MUCH needed.

As with most vehicles I see I often have an affinity towards the outgoing model. Im sure as sales ramp up and more and more are on the road they will grow on me. I think the Escalde will be a hit though. Just from the spy pics I saw it looked very cool. Maybe Im looking for the Tahoe and Suburban to be more utilitarian to the level that the Escalde and Denali are luxurios I guess what Im saying is I'd like ot see greater seperation where the Escalde is super luxurious (which its slated to be) and the Tahoe is more "truck like",.....probably not really what the consumer wants, but if it were me, thats what Id be looking for
