Re: 2008 H2
If it is a total redesign, I wonder what that will do to resale values on the pre-08's? Who knows, maybe they'll bling it out to much and the older ones will actually increase in value.

Somewhere I thought I read that the new SUT is coming out MY 2008....Maybe one of the 4x4 ragazines. Is this the change to the cargo area as stated on that site, or is that the seat reconfig? or does no one really know and talking out their arses!!!

Re: 2008 H2
This is not considered a redesign. It's a model freshening.
The complete redesign isn't scheduled for at least a couple more years along with the Duramax...

Re: 2008 H2
Are they changing anything on the exterior? I hope not. The H1 barely ever changed on the outside.
The side mirrors and radio antennae is the only thing I know of changing on the H2 so far.

Re: 2008 H2
Hopefully the outside will stay very similar, but the interior could be up-scaled a bit... (I hope they keep the jet-plane-shifter!)
Do you think the new engine will be equipped with GM's FlexFuel engine and/or active fuel management? (Where some valves shut off when not needed?) I think a boost in MPGs will get green peace off our backs and more people into the driver's seat!

Re: 2008 H2
I was thinking the same thing. The extra horsepower will hopefully give better gas mileage. That active fuel management on the Tahoes sounds awesome but I bet it complicates things under the hood, sounds expensive to fix.
I hope they dont change the exterior. Thats the beauty of Hummer. Only select few know if you have an 03 or an 07.
in my opinion, forget the bling. If I wanted bling I would buy an Escalade. A Hummer should be a truck first, users can add their own bling.

Re: 2008 H2
I just went to the Atlantic City custom car show this weekend and Hummer was the only new car vendor there. The rep said that although it is not definate, it is possible that the diesel is in the works for the 08. She stated that GM is working on the diesels to make them more smog compliant for the newer and tougher fed laws. Although at this time these diesels are the planned for other GM trucks, there has been alot of interest in a diesel H2, and it is a possibilty of doing it if they can work out all the extra engineering. She told me that we should know the 08 future by April at the NY show.
