Rick's H1 was an absolute tank, great recovery vehicle to have along...he did get it stuck once or twice, no pics of the pullout!

Thanks Cris, Great pics of everyone. I need to get my DSLR cam back so I can get some good shots of you. No far that you take all the action shots and get left out.

Got word today that at least 4 H3's & 1 H2 suffered alternator failures after this Hummer Happening from submersion....but we were never in more than 24" of water (OK, maybe we went faster that 5 mph), and GM won't cover them under warranty. I had no troubles with it, but I'll have a look to see if I can fab some kind of splash shield under the alternator to prevent it later!

Anybody else had this happen? It's not the kind of thing you'd expect to go bad, but I can easily see how it could happen.

The only trouble I found was both front inside wheelwell covers were broken, one missing a chunk over a foot around....not sure how I caught those on anything. Oh yah, anybody seen my front left wheelcap?

Hummjay, We ran the trail to the east early in the day. The long deep canyon of a mud hole was the hardest part of it. For that just a little speed was needed to clear where everyone coming from the other direction ends up stuck and diggin in.

I don't know that the East end was any easier, man...first you gotta get into this hole (and we've see it full of water to the top!)
