Are there any quality differences in belts, i.e. should I just use whatever my local shop has, or do I want to look for particular brands?

I just went to napa and told them what vehicle I had. They gave me their "napa brand" belt...Haven't had any problems since....

I think Injen makes a high performance low drag kevlar/carbon fiber serpentine belt that adds about 15 hp.

I just replaced mine with the "napa brand" belts and they work fine, but damn they're noisier than the stock ones. They don't squeak but the overall noise level is higher. Just an observation.
