5000K is classed as pure white light, go below or above that and the light is less white, and in terms of light sources will be less efficient.
Cooler light sources (5000k+) have higher color rendering ability and enhance all colors equally, however at 7500K you are moving way out of the optimum band and losing efficiency in terms of brightness and accurate color rendering. They will look very blue though and will work fine.
HID's in the 4800-5600K range offer more accurate color rendering and better lighting efficiency (more light). </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
