Re: Newbie
I am new to the H2 world as well. After driving the H2 I can't think of driving anything else. I have three children in car seats and we fit fine. It has alot more room than our previous 07 Tahoe and gets almost the same mileage.

Re: Newbie
Just got back from test driving one at the dealership. The one I was looking at was the SUT. My dad went and talked numbers while I took it out on the course. I beat the crap out of it on the hills, so I definitely don't want that one.
I'm not sure I want to trade my BMW in, but all of my friends have H2's. I'm looking at black, the chrome accents seem to show up better on that one. It was a pretty fun ride, I still have some shopping around to do.

07, I didn't even see any 08's in the place except the showroom.
I'm skipping a few options, trying to go easy on the old man, since he did pay for 8 years of school and all I got was a BS.

Re: Newbie
Not sure....I'm still thrown off by the fact the the guy that posted the comment about the Landrover has a H2 and couldn't pick it out of a picture.
It seems from what I've read in here so far is that Jeep and Landrover owners are a tighter crew. I've seen Hummer owners try to replicate the "Jeep wave" but it seems lame when Hummer owners do it.
The LR3 seems like a much cooler vehicle and a lot more capable off road. I'd like to see a LandRover go head to head with an Hummer.
My next test drive will be the LR3.

Re: Newbie
Buy a jeep, an LR, or a prius. Then go play on their websites, please!

Since all of your friends have one, you might want to get one. I'd hate for you to be "that guy" that doesn't fit in b/c of your vehicle. J/k....welcome to the site and disregard a-holes like myself.

Re: Newbie
I just dont get the Prius remarks. The thought had never crossed my mind to get one, yet it was brought up 2X already. Are H2 owners closet Pruis fans?

Re: Newbie
It looks like you have some sort of tape and plastic sheets on your doors...Is that jsut the way the sun is reflecting off of the paint?

No, that's normal. Most all H2 owners have to "tape" their doors shut. Otherwise they just will not stay closed. This is why I recommend you buy a VW Beetle....seem to be more your type.

Not buying the tape on the doors thing.... You may need to tape the wheels on, but the doors should stay shut.
http://blogs.cars.com/kickingtires/2..._wheels_f.html
And what exactly is my type? I'm learning quickly that Hummers are not "my type"
So far, The short time I've been on this forum, I've learned the following things:
- No one has given me valid advice for finding a H2, they seem preoccupied with the Prius.
- Golf carts can pretty much do anything an H2 can
- H2 Owners will often mistake their H2's for a LandRover
- Hummer owners have a negative reputation to uphold. (I've seen more people that hate Hummers than any other car or truck I've seen)
Keyed H2
Keyed h2 X2
Vandalism
Hummer haterd
More Hummer crap
- The majority of the Hummer owners bought it because of the looks, not the off road capability. The thing is a tank, and expensive so what "look" are you guys going for?
Lift kit for looks
95% Highway
So... by saying Hummers are not my type I can actually take that as a compliment.
