check out the Parnelli Jones (PJ) Dirt Grips. Nice tire and I believe they make a size to work with the H2. Tough to find though. Desert Rat carries them I think.

MT/R really are a nice well rounded tire though. They also fill out the wheel wells nicely and really add a touch of aggression to the trucks look. All this without rubbing.

Phil D,
Your conclusions about rim diameter and sidewall height are all wrong. For certain applications, a larger diameter rim is actually more effective than a smaller one. Take desert racing for instance, all those guys run 17/18" rims with 37" tires all the time to lessen the chance of losing a bead at high speed because there is a significantly less amount of sidewall flex. Yes, for rockcrawling and mudrunning a taller sidewall can at times prove to be more effective, but that is not always the case.

PhilD - that is where I am at now in the decision process - either the 37"MT/R's or 37" SSR's. Leaning towards the MTR's, but checking on availablity - Tire Rack is on B/O.

The main reason I went with the SSR's was because no one in the country could get the MTR's.

Front Locker, Stealth winch, 37" Super Swampers SSR,low center of gravity = Ultimate H2

Hey R2,

What did you pay for the SSR's? Did you get them from an online dealer or local?

Thanks

I've been thinking maybe even going with 37x13x17 (listed as 36.80x13.50) Super Swamper Boggers or 36x13.5x17 (listed as 36.80x13.80)Super Swamper IROKS. If anyone has had any experience with either of these tires, please let me know.

Thanks.

My Goodyear's are 37*12.50*17. Bought them in September. Went to Discount Tire and saw a buddy of mine and he had them the next day all 5. 1084.00 for all 5 with lifetime balancing and road hazzard. He swapped me even for the spare as it never touched the ground.
