That trip computer lies like a SOB, if you are stating your #'s from it, it's not worth posting.

Yes, they are magic. They will also make your tires bigger and your lift higher.

Whats the big deal? I can get 18 mpg.
Driving downhill that is.
When I turn around and have to go uphill, I get 6.
It averages out to 12.

Re: 14.5 MPG's!!!
Numbers I quoted were based on fuel used and actual mileage. No tricks from the computer, I never believed the readings on my '03. I too can't drive 55. I was just suprised by the results on a portion of my trip. I had never dissected the different impacts before but the road trip provided a great opportunity. If I could figure out how to keep it below 2k rpms while keeping up with the traffic that sure would be nice. Unfortunately 80 is just keeping up on I-10.

Re: 14.5 MPG's!!!
anyone ever hear of a gearvendor. i know its something noone might even consider, however, its a cool transfer-case unit that splits your gears.
For example, your traveling 65mph around 2k in 4th/od gear with is about a .63 gear ratio, without the final. This is with te gearvender disengaged.
With the gearvendor engaged, you split the SAME gear and end up aroud and est. 1300-1500rpm, still doing 65mph. Just like a regulr 3rd to 4t/od gear change.
Now, im not sure if they have tried to implement one in an H2 and it is costly, around 2k, but you not only get an improvement in gas mileage, but you theoretically end up with 8 foward gears instead of the usual 4 gears.

Re: 14.5 MPG's!!!
I too found that keeping it at 60 on the highway will get you 13-15 mpg.....but its dam annoying to go that slow...and...
Figure out how much you save on gas by those 2-3 mpgs. A few bucks....not even worth it. Ill pay the extra $5 at the pump to be able to drive normal.

What KONG isn't telling you is, that he TOWED his Hummer cross-country and is using that in the calculations of his AVERAGE mpg....
I can believe 16 on the highway with a reprogramming... But AVERAGE city/highway at 16? Noway... Are you sure that your Hummer doesn't have a 3 next to the H instead of a 2????
I am about to reprogram, add the K&N aircharger and put headers and dual exhaust on, so we'll see how it effects my mpg... In my Tahoe it upped the mpg by 40% (from 10 mpg to 14mpg highway and yes, it was highly modified). I'm hoping for at least averaging 14 instead of 10.6 (as per the dash).
Also, I don't see how the average MPG is wrong on the dash.... It record miles driven and gallons used... It's pretty easy to figure at that point...
