Re: Rancho lift w/20" Mazzi Hulk & Toyo 38's
well, i gotta say, when i first saw the truck, i was scared. honestly, i thought i ruined my truck and that my wife was going to kill me. she didnt like it.....at first. so i was driving home. drives normal on the roads. handles fine. just really tall. i was thinking, " how is my pregnant wife going to get in and out of this thing?". " how the hell are my dogs going to get in and out of here?" after looking at it more its really growing on me. after we got home, my wife said " you were sooo much taller than everyone on the road" and she laughed. and i got her approval on it now. she got in it. had no problem using the side steps.
the guy who did the ligt is a mazzi dealer and he is going to look into getting me new chrome rivets where the other ones came out. i think it will look pretty good with them. maybe ill do a photoshop to see.
the spare wheel isnt on yet. i have to take it back to get re- powdercoated. it didnt turn out good at all. has some runs in the paint and chrome flakes sticking up.
tires are great. not really noisy....surprisingly. my nittos were louder.
so.....im pretty happy with everything. even though it doesnt fit in the garage. but at least i have remote start.

I dig it, but you may need to step it up a bit with a larger rim/tire combo. That lift makes the rims look small

What!? Thanks but no thanks. It's a brand new setup. The 20's with 38's is plenty for me. It's going to settle down a bit over time. But this setup is just fine with me. Almost too large

I'm running 40 inch Goodyears on mine and they have the beads in them as well and I was surprised how well it rides with them. You will love the ride. I also have the Mazzi Hulks but mine are black and polished in 17's. Your truck looks good.

Thanks. I'm still getting used to it. But I do like it. Just need to figure out a way to get my dogs in the back now....

Tomorrow I?m installing my Power Amp steps. That bit of extra lift is going to give my short ass a hernia....

Is there an extension kit or something for the factory tube steps to drop th down a bit? How much lower do the steps sit that you are installing? I'd like to make it a bit easier to helps wife get in.

I won?t know how much lower the power amp steps will make it till tomorrow.
I?ll measure the two heights and let you know. Accorfing to the pics I?ve seen... looks like quite a bit.

The steps are made by this company.
When I checked prices, they were about 1100-1200 bucks.

I have the same setup as you and my amps are wonderful. Much better than the tubes IMO. You get what you pay for. My truck would be hell without them.

I thought I read that from the floor to the top of the step was 13 1/2" on their website somewhere.
I'll definitely let you know today when I get the truck back.

Re: Rancho lift w/20" Mazzi Hulk & Toyo 38's
So it should be a few inches lower than mine. I'll have to measure my distance and see if it's worth it

Looks great! I think the tire size is good too, sometimes too much rubber makes them look weird. I think the chrome bolts around the rims will look nice too.

Re: Rancho lift w/20" Mazzi Hulk & Toyo 38's
Well after talking with my wife, we've decided we're gonna need another family car. Lol. So I think at the end of this year right after we have the baby, we're gonna buy out the lease on my sisters 08 h3. We're adding another hummer to the lineup! Lol. Now I need a new house to put all 5 cars lol

I haven't seen that commercial in ages.
H1s are definitely monsters...I thought hard about an 03 open-top a few years back, but just worry too much about maintenance cost. At least the 2s and 3s are GM parts...break a tie rod on a trail?...get a ride the GMC dealer in town and buy a new one. Break a tie rod on an H1?...depending upon the year you may be waiting quite a while for that part.
If the Mega Millions or Power Ball works out for me I'll revisit this though...
