PhilD,
Some dealers are better than others. Like you, reports about dealers selling brand new $50,000+ vehicles with jury-rigged sunroofs seems absurd. Butchering an expensive vehicle is just inexcuseable to me. Period. I would think that in fact, dealers should warn buyers that installing an aftermarket sunroof will most likey result in their dissatisfaction. The H2 dealer, of all people, should know just how poorly the aftermarket sunroofs work out. Let alone selling new H2s and adding them for the customer...
As for dealers in general. I'm used to buying a car or truck and being treated like royalty and then when it is necessary to have it serviced, it is like I have grown horns. It's almost as if I am putting them out to request they service my "new" car or truck. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised when I take my H2 in for service... I don't really place much value on birthday & Christmas cards though.
