Just a dumb question. Can I purchase or lease from another state if I'm in Florida? Would I get killed by taxes or anything like that? I heard someone saying you needed a driver license for the state you buy in. How about tag and title?
Thanks

The car will have to be titled in the state you live in. The sales tax, registration, title, would be in FL. The only fees added (if you're financing) would be the vehicle inventory tax (not very much, under 100 probably--don't quote me) a Document and Deputy Fee (55 bucks, we have a title office that would do the registration for you)...the only downside is that most likely you'd have to actually come out and sign the paperwork. Most banks require this. So really, you're looking at about 150 dollars, plus your Florida tax, title, license, and a trip to beautiful Dallas. Its all kind of confusing, but no, you do not need to have a drivers license in the state of purchase.

Thanks </div></BLOCKQUOTE>Yes, you'll let them know about the titling so you will have to pay sales tax in FL. Some places might try to force you into double taxation.
You can buy one from here sight unseen and have it picked up or come get it. The local dealer here has sold a few H1s and H2s to out of state customers and I know where 1 Alpha customer fedexed all of the paperwork back and forth and he never saw the truck until it arrived at his house in Houston.

That's for "almost all 2005 GM vehicles across all divisions"... Hummer H3 is a 06 model, therefore, excluded.

Guess I wasn't clear enough. I meant that I was confirming the discount was for other '05 GM models only -- therefore, the H3 would definitely not be included. However, it may make the H2 more affordable now for some buyers than before. That's all.

Ohh ok... sorry for the confusion
What you say about the H2 is true, I think that you can get an H2 for almost the same price as a loaded H3... geezzz.. I wish gas prices where just a little lower!!

How much different would the employee discount be over a supplier discount?

That is what I was thinking. Since I just got mine last week, I was worried I could have gotten a better deal. Although I got my 05 LUX at supplier pricing. But an extra $1500 off would have been nice.

As soon as we found out at our dealership (the rumor started circulating late last week) about the pricing, we held off putting the paperwork through until we knew whether or not you could get the better discount. Where did you get yours and what day did you get it?

Why buy a loaded H3, when you can have a base H2 for $6000 more?

That's exactly what's on my mind. There are also tax advantages to the H2. I just don't know if I can justify paying for the gas. At 9 to 10 mpg that would just kill me...

If you want to talk with one of our finance experts, I can put you in touch...It all depends on how long the lease is for, how many miles, what you'd put down, a trade (if any), etc...
