H3 Builder apparently works at the plant so that's pretty much as close to the source as you'll get.

As far as color addition, the green wasn't replaced by any color. The superior blue was always there, but is now named imperial blue.... Orange and Maroon were added as H3X colors.

I hope not, I wanna be unique!! They should just make one color - "black", just like Henry Ford did to all his early model cars...

BlueHummerH2, I just realized that he works at the plant, but also i know the green wasnt replaced but they added that Imperial blue its actually much much much darker than than last years superior blue, I've seen both next to eachother and theres a huge difference betweent the two. But again i really couldnt imagine that the yellow would stop being made

I know, it would seem strange.

I noticed that about the Imperial blue as well.... I think I like the Superior blue better.

I actually like the superior blue better as well, But i defintly it was a good idea for Hummer to add a Dark Blue to there list of colors. One color i think would do good if they were to make it would be a gun metal type color like a dark gray metallic color.

Ford wrote in his autobiography, "Any customer can have a car painted any colour that he wants so long as it is black." (chapter 6)

Ford's earliest products were available in a variety of colours, including red (but not French Whore Red ) but when Ford perfected his assembly line, his cars were all black. Why? The black paint dried more quickly than other colours.

Thanks for the backup --with you actually working in the plant they're produced...no more yellow for Canyon and Colorado, either. And we all know that Hummer isn't the best to update their website...yellow will probably be up there for a while.

I was going to add Colorado and Canyon, but since this is the H3 Forum, I didn't think I needed to add them. 2 other colors will also go obsolete. There will be 3 new colors added for 2008, but at this time, I can't elaborate on them.

I'm going to take a stab looking at recent GM colors:

Carbon black/gunmetal

The tan from SEMA/some gold color

Maybe White Diamond Tri-coat.... Maybe Ocean Mist, but I don't know.

Hmmm, the barfy, gumby green is a given....

Maybe an orange?

Is there ANY hope for an Alpha V8? Any smoke in the air?

I read the book about the H3 development and it made me really wonder what's wrong with the management at GM. They started out with a good idea, then kicked it around to fifty different committees and a zillion meetings, changed it all around, fugged it all up, then went back towards the original idea. They spend an ENORMOUS amount of money spinnin' their wheels and self ingratiating jack-off sessions. Just come up with a good thing and build it for cryin-out-loud. They need to get rid of the dead weight. Hell, five people off of this forum and a couple of good engineers could stomp their billion dollar process into the ground. Those of you that have read the book know what I mean.

No yellow = DUMB.

Me, I'd love to have a V8 Alpha in that GM burnt orange color they had a few years ago.

So mine is special? I guess instead of a new H# in yellow I will need to continue my dream of owning a fleet of yellow Hummers. All I need now is an H2 NS n H1. I almost dropped 35k last summer on a 6 year old H1..........

The only drawback with my 5 speed is that I do not having a locker......conversion kit anyone?

BTW, hi guys...been busy but I'm back. Hows the new place in Utah Neo? I will be there next month only for a night though.

I have a question for H3 Builder and maybe f5.

How many YELLOW H-3's have been built and when they stop what will be the total?

Yeah...I'd like to see a color break down of the 06's and 07's.

My Beeyoch Rig is Red cause all you guys get all those other funny colors.

Bet French Whore Red is the least picked of them all and Baby Poop yellow is Number 1 ..and then there's TGL ..Puss Green.... And Bebe's Cinderella One Night Stand Blue...
