I'm thinking 37's, the other alternative would be to buy a base model, throw in an Atlas II and 60's front and rear. Most probably work out about the same cost as a Rubi, maybe a little less, but you'd have a better/stronger setup.

Yeah, I was wondering how one would go about building one. If you do the Rubi you get 44s front and rear.
But, going ahead and doing D60s w/ an Atlas would have you ready to drop a V-8 in there in the future.
Other side of that coin is if the 44s are enough with the stock V6. With the weight and low HP/torque, Dana 44s front/rear might be enough until you get ready to go through and do a full drivetrain swap.
I'm guessing the only way you get the Dana 44 up front is to get the Rubi.

Re: here they come..."2"
I agree that 37's would make it a monster but that would be to big of a tire for my liking. I would stick with 4.5 inch lift kit and 35's if it were me. That way you could just upgrade the 44shafts and you really should not have many issues. I'm saying that assuming you take is fairly easy on the skinny pedal but 35's would get you anywhere you wanted to go with that short wheelbase. 37's and the off-camber stuff out here gets a little scarry...

Re: here they come..."2"
3 inch lift would definately work. I was thinking of the TJ model when I put 4.5 inch. Looking at the info on the four door model TK (RUBICON) it will come stock with 32's...

Re: here they come..."2"
I am one of the RARE FEW JEEPERS that back up the Hummer H2 and H3 line and it's capabilities. I cant tell you how many times I've been around people bashing them and telling me how weak they are off-road only to show them pictures and video of trips I've been on while laughing at them and asking them if they still believe what they are saying/heard...
I truely enjoy watching you guys wheel those mammoths...

cool, the world is big enough I just wanted to know. So you think that Dodge caliper/Jeep compass will degrade the jeep brand more or just a wait till Hummer does it thing.

I had a MS Jeep Club sticker on my 2 until I realized it was crooked and am a due paying member.

I dont think it will Degrade the Jeep brand. There are certain vehicles that dont need to be driven off-road and that is what they have...For the people that drive Jeeps primarily for wheeling, they have stayed loyal with the wrangler and made fairly decent vehicles out of the GC.................I bet a lot of people that bought the liberty will take a look at the Compass...............and I'm fairly sure that Patriot will sell well. It is a fairly good looking vehicle that is very similar to the 97 to 01 Cherokee.........Not as "capable" off-road but again that is not what they are targeting with those vehicles.......although I'm sure they would be fine for most "folks" that are camping or driving through the National Forests.....
