why only the one's who did "real" work? why should the guy who over here makes sure that you have everything you need over there when you open that box not get it? or the guy who reads all the computer programs and makes sure they work for all the nifty little toys that the military has. What's with the holier than thou attitude. I could possibly let it slide for having that with someone who isn't in the forces (still kind of shady though). But having that with someone who is supposed to be your brother in arms? that's just cold man

If you are military and looking for a free Hummer, there's always the Oprah show.

I didn't enlist to get free **** from the civilian community. What I did appreciate were those few times over my career when someone picked up my bar bill in the airport, or whatever stop and rob I happened to be eating/drinking at at the time. Most often it was other, older veterans.

You can keep the auto discount IMHO, seems to me to be more good marketing than altruism.

Me, everytime I travel I look in that airport bar where I'm waiting and pick up the tab of whomever is military. Don't care of they were combat vets or supply corps. All because when I was coming up someone else did it for me and it meant a helluva lot more than some suit offering me a car coupon.

Service is service, God bless'm all.
