go for it...the possibilities are endless
If they were decals, and not too expensive, they might be fun for a club event/gathering/outing. Once or twice a year kind of thing (if you didn't want them on all the time)
NVR STUCK has my creative wheels turning, for sure.

Very creative and well done! I would have never thought of the tire tracks, but I like it. Though it wouldn't work on my Black H2.

Thank you for the support. Everything is a graphic and not painted. The Vortec 6.0 and rear stripe are standard fare from auto trim design. I changed the words to No Limits to go with the tire tread design. The tire tracks, H2 on the hood, HUMMER on the side, and "like nothing else." on the back glass were my idea. I took my ideas to the local Auto Trim Design shop. They scanned my tire tread into the computer and that's why the tire graphics are an exact match. By the way - Gobi racks with the tire on top are great. I just would not put one on my truck (I took the roof racks off mine). I would not tell someone their truck is UGLY just because they made a personal decision to install the rack. The dealer is already requesting the HUMMER graphic for the side. I only hope that Auto Trim Design lives up to their word and will keep my H2 custom.

I like the H2 on the hood the best, and then the HUMMER on the sides.
As long as you like the design, nothing else should matter.

I suppose you posted these pictures because you want everybody's candid opinion. Well it looks like you got some! I like the tire tracks on the side, the large "Hummer", the "no limits" and the "vortec". The tire tracks on the hood and back might be a bit much for me.
I think you are ahead of your time. As the Hummer gets more common people may be even more interested in seeing custom graphics and paint. All in all your truck looks great, I love the pewter and I think you're custom graphics show great individuality and personality. Did the custom shop say anything to you about how long you could leave the graphics on your truck before it would affect the paint permanently? Was it expensive?
As you may or may not know I still do not have my H2 yet. I would have purchased it already if I could just make up my mind what color I want. I too am very interested in adding custom graphics and paint. So for me it makes the decision harder because now I'm trying to decide what color would lend itself to the graphics schemes I am considering. If I don't decide on something soon I think my wife will have me committed.

LOL. My wife told me the same thing when I asked her what she thought of black zebra stripes on my Suburban. It's a good thing that some of us men have wives or we'd be riding around in the ugliest trucks we could possibly conjure up.
Speaking of ugly, or maybe not, I'll let you guys decide. I have been playing in Photoshop again. A Hummer dealer in New Jersey was nice enough to let me have a yellow H2 for a 24-hour testdrive. When I had it at my house I took some pictures of it and I have been playing with them. Keep in mind, it has the chrome package and the truck I want, would not. It will also have a black full size safari rack and tire on top. Yes, NVR Stuck I know you just love this combination! Ha ha.
Candid opinions are welcome. Is this a loser idea, or is there some way to make this look good. The theme of course is that the safari truck is out on the Serengeti. Enjoy.
Cheers

Neat! I think this scheme would work best on either a yellow or black H2. For some reason I like the 2nd one better.
I've tried the photoshop thing but all of my results looks like I turned my 6yr old loose on my H2 with a box of crayons or bucket of paint.

Once everyone at the club has an h2 yours will still be unique. As long as you dont put chrome, 22" wheels, road tires, a lowering kit and blast rap I think it looks great!!!!!

I agree with JSA_3 about the second one. It looks full and flows well. The direction of the grass appears to make the vehicle look like its moving when standing still. I think your color scheme and idea would work best on yellow. I have some before shots of my Pewter H2 if you would like to play with them. The graphics are vinyl and I was told they would last 3-5 years. No paint damage is suppossed to occur. Cost - more expensive that I thought they would be, $650.00 installed.

A fuel door and that's it. My wife has layed down the law. Nothing else for the Hummer!

Sure, I will take you up on a before shot of your pewter H2. My e-mail address is in my profile. A side view shot is the best.

Those effects were done with brush presets. My first Photoshop work wasn't any good either. But it sure is fun.

How about mud flames coming over the hood?
Anyone remember the 5.9 Limited Grand Cherokee ads of 1998? They had the Grand done up like that. I think they used that spray on bedliner stuff to do it, so the "mud" had a texture.
Alos the zebra strip idea is cool, although a bit dated. You might also be mistaken for Ted Nugent. Which might not be a bad thing, actually. People would probably give you a real wide berth if they thought you were the Nuge.
edit: found a pic of the Jeep.
