One other thing, don't think about a H3, especially if your use to the RR/RRS. You will not be happy at all....just stick with the H2

If you prefer a more "refined" vehicle then perhaps the RRS is a better choice. However i think you will find the ride and drive of the H2 to be quite pleasant.

Re: Help plz
I have owned many vehicles in my life to include a Lexus470. I have also test driven a RRS and have driven the H1 MANY times when I was a military man. Both the Lexus 470 and H1 were very capable off-road. I have not had a chance to take the RRS off-road (which I didnt think the dealership would like), but it just didn't give me the feeling that I was looking for! It's obviously a very nice vehicle that is a little more refined than my new 08' H2, but I prefer the more "testosterone" look/feel of the Hummer. That said, the RRS was a blast to drive.....but, again I felt that is was more of a grocery getter (which is ok for some people). And, doesn't the RR line of vehicles have a poor reliability rating? Anyway, I love my H2 and wouldnt trade it for the world!

I agree...a hummer gets more looks than most other vehicles on the road....mine gets looks from kids to the elderly and all ages in between. As the hummer slogan says...."Like Nothing Else"

I totally agree. I drove a Range Rover about 7 years ago. Liked it alot, but the hummer is way better. It's a UNIQUE ride.

Re: Help plz
Had a range and mine did have some issues with the drivetrain, but that was an 01 model, I am in no way bashing the range, they do make a nice truck. I think that the 2 are totally different. Just buy both, drive the range to work and use the h2 on the weekends.

Re: Help plz
personally, after seeing them up close in the auto show, i will agree say that the H2, IMO, is better suited for me.
The interior is more refined in the RR, that is for sure, however, your a potentially purchasing a vehicle for its off-road prowness and fun factor... you will not get that for that RR. It has features that sell the idea of fun off-road, but i just cannot see one of the newer RR keeping up with a stock h2. I agree its more of a grocery getter and to keep the wife happy with the comfort.
But, again, imo, if you are looking for fun, and a surprisingly comfortable, confident ride, get the H2. The h3, with all due respect, doesn't compare.

Re: Help plz
Buy the H2 and tell your wife to go buy something that she wants. Thus, you will both be satisfied.

It'd be a step in the right direction to shedding the latte-sipping metrosexual image.

Anyone else, no y i should buy one?

Wifey had an 03 Range Rover. It's a silky ride no doubt. But unless you're going to take it off road, I'd stick with thr Range Rover. The RR is definitely capable, but I couldn't see myself to risk scratching it.

I think if you got to ask your simply not Hummer Material and your really not wanted in the Hummer group--There is something missing and you probably have weird desires to hug trees and other stupid things.

Re: Help plz
Do you carry a man purse or have your a55 waxed? If so stick with the RRS. If you could care less what the neighbors will say and consider yoursel an individual independant thinker, get the Hummer (its obviosly what you want deep down, its whether you have the sak to actually get one and keep it).
I have to say, the RRS's are pretty darn capable, I've seen one in action and I couldnt belive what it could do on those "low Prof's". My friend just bought an LR3 and he will be taking it to tellico with us in two weeks. We shall see how it will do. He blow dries his hair just FYI.

I like the RRS a bunch and am considering getting one in addition to my 03 H2.
You ned to take the H2 for a 24 test drive to really get a feel for it, not just the weak ass test you get while at the dealer.

Re: Help plz
For sure. If you can, try and meet us up there. Were leaving on that Friday evening. I am going to the land rover off roading happening with him on sunday so we will get to know his truck a little before Tellico. I'll report how that goes as well.

Re: Help plz
i agree, if you have to think about buying an h2 then you probably shouldn't buy one. For me there was everything else and then there was the h2. I drove the others until I could afford to own an H2. Needless to say I am now in a better place. But where to go once you have reached the top? oh yeah the 08

Re: Help plz
Depreciation on the RR is TERRIBLE! Right up there with Caddys and Lincolns. The only way I could see owning a new RR would be to lease, it is just unbelievable how bad the RR's depreciate. The H2's to me are not nearly as bad. Keep us posted, as both are really neat vehicles!

Re: Help plz
tell me about it, got 26k out of my 03 Lincoln Navigator Ultimate with only 33k miles. do the math on that one, cost me about $1 per mile in depreciation. Went and bought me a 03 h2 for 31k with only 40k miles. I will be a heck of alot better off this time.
