Question Re: Roof Rails

When I get to about 68-70 mph on the freeway, I hear a noise (like a crackling sound) coming from the left A pillar area. It almost sounds like the windshield is going to crack. The dealer said it's wind going through the left air intake vent when the wind hits at a certain angle. (huh?) Would this be the same sound as a cracked roof rail? What type of sound is that? Maybe that's the problem I have.

You can see the broken or cracked roof rail if your's has it, by looking inbetween the front pillar rail and the roof rail where they connect to each other.( straight up from mirror) The broke part will be where they join. My dealer taped my front pillars from the inside because he was getting complants of wind noise in that area from other H3 'ers. I really never noticed the noise , but he said it would fix it. Hope this helps.. See ya
