Timgco,
how much is the gobi stealth rack? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
$1499.00 plus shipping is retail.
Things to verify when ordering are:
Sunroof?
Marker lights or off road lights?
Stealth? Low profile? or Full size? A tire mounted on the full size will be an option down the road. Also, the rear ladder will be available in the next month.

NO, NO, NO!
YAKIMA is the only way to go. they don't have the towers out yet, but are working on it.
Here's what you need (or what I'm getting).
1- towers. (4)
2- crossbars. (2)
3- load warrior basket w/ extension or mega worrior basket.
4- shovel / ax mount.
5- off-road light mounts (2-4) depending on how many lights you want to install.
6- bike racks. (2) make sure the cross bars are long enough so that you can mount the bike racks on the sides of the basket instead of on top of the basket, this gives you a lot more room in the basket and makes loading your bikes much easier.
7- ski racks.
This is the same set up I had on my 86 4runner and it was awesome. YAKIMA equipment is built to last and fit's together nicely.
Cost? Roughly about $700-$800 for everything listed. Now that money well spent!

I did the same on my ZR2 Blazer/ Avalanche/ and Tahoe a while back. I think the Mega Load Warrior would look better on the H3, but the bars may stick out too far with your bike mounts on the out side. Not sure. Sportsrack should have them so you can put them up there. BTW- I think you could make the existing YAKIMA set up work with the existing tracks. I have the setup mounted to my bed cover on the SUT and I think it would work. You'd just have to get some stainless washers and your done. Let me know if you want the list I bought.

I like the custom rack, builder did a nice job on it. Loadwarrior is too small for the H3, I have one from my xterra and it looked wrong on top,They also make Yakima mighty mounts that adapt to both so you can use stock crossmembers to attach it too. megawarrior would be a better fitment but I would have to agree with H3Hummer that the Thule MOAB fit well and is proportional with the h3. I think I will probably go that way with mine, I also have a Thule travel box so I can interchange them quickly. Nice pictures all

I would also be curious about any additional wind noise.

The thule basket is not as strong as the Yakima load or mega warrior and the Yakima baskets look better on the H3.

jp's-h3 is that your personal opinion or fact? I'm curious as I used Thule racks and gear on my last 2 grand cherokee's without any problems, but am curious as to why you feel the Yakima's are stronger?

I don't have the sunroof so I didn't need to deal with that. Hadn't thought about taking orders, but I will not until this one is done and painted so you can see the full effect.

There is no problem at all with the opening of the sunroof. However I have noticed a substantial increase in wind noise. The builder wants to try lamps and a wind deflector on the front. I'll post pics and comments then.
