Re: Sopranos finale.......
I actually fell asleep before it ended and watched it at about 6am today on the DVR. Figured you guys (Elcova, Fox News, whoever) would spoil it for me if I waited. I was right. Top of every damn CNN, MSNBC and FOX news hour.
I'm a little disappointed. I think we wasted some good time waiting for Meadow to park her fawkin beemer. Someone teach that broad how to drive.

Re: Sopranos finale.......
I too thought my HD recorded died.
Wide open for an encore season.
Or the movie!
If it is the movie, the beginning will definitely be a continuation of the end we just witnessed.
I was content with the end actually. When Journey started playing louder in the end (Excellent choice for the final.), I started to squeeze my blankey knowing something bad was going to happen.

X2. Big Love is my next favorite. Jeanne Tripplehorn is getting old but she's still a bangable MILF in my books. It's an addictive show.
And the fact they drive the REAL Hummers. The H1 & H2.

I watched it again last night and liked it even more. With the help of some others, I've concluded that Tony died as the screen went black. I think the final scene with the music and carefreeness of the Sopranos family makes the ending seem particularly tragic.
I don't think it was a hit man who came in the front door when the bell rang because, when Meadow is running to the front door, no one else is anywhere near it. So, my guess is that the bathroom guy took out Tony at that moment. Assuming that, and watching it again, I got the feeling that the show was Tony, and when he died instantly at the end, you experience what he did--nothing. The show goes black as his consciousness abruptly ends. My mental images of his family's immediate response to his death, to me, are more powerful than if they had actually tried to show it.
