A full tank will help avoid condensation. You can put a battery tender on it to keep the battery charged. The best thing to do might be to just have someone drive it around for a mile or two once a month, that would help with all issues.
Or you could just send it to me and I would drive it every day for you. For an extra charge I'd even take it wheeling for ya.
By the way...thanks for your service!

Some good information.
Do not disconnect the battery, if you can purchase a maintaining tender charger, or another way to go is a solar charger, if there is any type of light that will enter the garage. All you have to do is maintain the computer drain, which are small (approx. 30 milliamps for a stock H3), most of the computers go into sleep mode after a set time.
DO NOT drain the engine oil. Change it just before leaving, run the vehicle about five minutes on the new oil and that's it. If you were gone for a year, I would then recommend an oil change when you return, but not for a three month period.
As Anonymous stated, lifting the vehicle is good for the tires. If you can't lift, blow 'em up to max psi, but lifting is better.
Do not set the emergency brake, just a minor precaution.
Most of all, keep your head down and be safe.

I feel your pain brother. I am over here for my second 3 month tour since I got my H3, and it sucks being without it. I have my wife drive it a couple times a week to keep it in shape, but that is the better of two evils, if you know what I mean!!! Safe travels!!! See you in the sand box..

You stay safe as well! Thanks to you also!

Badger,
Where are you going? I'm at Victory right now (for 23 more days). If you have any questions or need anything, drop me a PM.
Stay safe!

One last thing... first gulf war, if you are leaving it on base, make sure the SP's know about it and you have the base sticker on it. Some guy on Okinawa ended up in Iraq, day after he bought it... and his base couldn't account for this car... bomb dogs alerted on it and so they felt it was safer to blow it up than try to disarm it. Bummer when he got back.
