GL: What kind of tires do you have on there?

They look like GY MTRs, but I can't tell for sure.

Very Nice, TGL!

How doe you like the Dupli-Color truckbed coating for the lights? I picked up a can and am considering doing the grill with it.

The stuff your grill is done with seems, for the lack of a better word, "glittery"... Is the Dupli-Color stuff like that too, or is it more "flat"?

Excellent work! Truck looks great and I love the H3 emblems!

Thanks, I wouldn't recommend using that on the grill, because mine they used "hot spray", they will last longer.

Dupli-color truckbed coating is flat black. Yes, my grill looks glittery just because I put tire shine.

I am waiting for the rims, I am pretty sure I will be blacking out the rims on my Superior Blue and adding a black gas cap cover. How did you hook up the fog lights you mounted on the brush guard? I really like it

TGL - I don't want to make a mistake here... Why don't you recommend this? Does the Dupli-Color stuff seem fragile or brittle? Did it not work well for the lights?

I'll spring for the line-x, but would rather save 80-90 bucks if possible. BUT, if the Dupli-Color stuff is going to fall apart...

Well, the Dupli-Color is basically a cold spray, coming out of a pressure can. Spray On Bedliners or Line-X uses a hot spray. It dries rock hard and will last a long time. They also have a large spray gun to cover large areas evenly. The Dupli-Color works great on little stuff you can repair easily, but for the grill I just think it would be better to have it professionally done. That’s all.

cheers!!

It worked great for the lights! But as for brittle or fragile, only time will tell.

Ipedog, I used the Dupli-Color truckbed coating on my grill and am extremely happy with the results. It is very durable and has a flat finish to it. I figured i would rather spend 20 bucks to do it myself, if it works, awesome, i save about 100 bucks, if not... no biggie.
TIPS: 1) I used a full 2 cans on it.
2) scuff up the with like 100 grit.
3) try to apply it at 90* angles otherwise you get a VERY rough surface, I would suggest hanging it.

If you have any questions, let me know.

Damn TGL, you're not f'n around.

I'm curious to see how well the PC holds up on the skid plate. Looks great for now though.

Probably won't need to PC it again. Just rattle can it with a flat black.
