I would seriously pass on the tires - I just put mine on today and they have a LOT more tread than the ones in your pics. I can take the same pic with a dime if you want.

As a reference, I paid $900 for my tires on ebay - brand new with wheels. Turns out the wheels wont fit the H2 - the bolt diameter is too narrow for my H2 - they originally came off a Ford F150 - I never knew that there would be a difference?? So will be selling the wheels back on ebay, but still got a GREAT deal anyway.

I'd rather see the picture with a Quarter.

I have about 15,000 miles on my MTR and they have more tread left on them, than the pictures that Detonate posted.

Really?

To me it looks like the tread is around George's nose on the quarter.

Then I picture a quarter down in the tread on these brand new tires:

and it seems to me that they'd be close to equal. Maybe I'm wrong. I'd love to see another person take a pic of their MTR's with a quarter in the tread.

If you go to the goodyear web site you will see that 37/12.50/17 mt/r's have 20/32" tread when they are new.

Detonate,

Crap - that looked like a dime to me LOL.

BTW, just got an email from the guy I bought my MT/R's from. Says he can get his hands on another set or two. I asked him for pricing and will let you know.

Detonate...
Just so you know I put my tread gauge on a quater as close as I could see in your pic and come out at 16/32 maybe a tad more, but not quite 17/32, so out of 20/32 those tires still are fairly new. I'd say $800 tops without the rims, but if you can sell the rims for 400-500 then you still come out ahead....just my .02 cents worth...

Ok i just placed an order for MTRs with tireterminal.com. Their website listed the tires as "in stock" and they were at one of the best prices i've seen, $214. Hopefully they are really instock and I can finally have a set of MTRs to call my own. I don't have a problem canceling my order if they're actually out of stock.

Are those tires on a Ford ?
Sometime ago they changed the bolt spacing on the 8 hole rims.
The dual tires and wheels work good so u can save the tires from useless road miles.
I just put the wife's snow tires on last nite.
I'll get a pic soon.
I got the 12.5/35-16.5 General MT w/ Mickey Thompson Classics ready to run for $850 (all new).
They work good but don't have the extra 1" axle clearance.

Naturally they make enough noise, just have to turn the stereo up louder. I have had mine on for 8 mos or so and I got used to it, but I dont drive it everyday as I use my car for running around town and whatnot. Noisy yes, like swampers no...

Tireterminal is a no-go as expected. But the guys that work there are super-nice.

"Hello Mr. Bennett,
We have checked our inventory on these tires but they are not in stock. We are sorry for this inconvenience but it seems to be due to an error made by our website administrator. Normally we get regular weekly delivery on all Goodyear tires but the Goodyear corporate warehouse is backordered over 150 of these tires with no planned production date for more.

We will correct this error immediately to make sure that it doesn't happen again. We will also assume that you wish to cancel the order so we will void it in our system.

Once again we apologize for this inconvenience as it does not happen with us often. Please feel free to ask if you have any other questions.

Sincerely,

Robert
Tireterminal.com"

The guy that I bought my set from on eBay sent me an email tonight. He thinks his source has 3-4 sets of them in stock in NJ.

Will know for sure on Monday - I'll let you guys know as soon as I get a confirmation.

Ok, great! You said you paid around $900 for a set of 4 that were brand new right?

Ask him if he'll sell 5. Or have him call me. 817-690-4097 I'm trying to get a set of these shipped and mounted before New Years Eve.

I got to get in on this. I've been looking for these tires since June. I got the same email from Robert at tireterminal.com. What a cruel joke .
So Bamfh2, if that place still has a set tell me how to get them.
Thanks,
Jigga
