Are you sure it's not available becuase I just saw an SUT leaving your Service Dept. yesterday that had one installed and painted to match. His old chrome one was in the back of the H2.

That was a takeoff we had from someone's limited edition, they wanted a chrome brush guard. It wasn't color matched or anything like that, it was just a natural match.

Aggie, I think the flat-black SUT looks awesome! What kind of process/product would you use for protecting the paint, as I would assume that waxing flat-black paint would ruin it?
Thanks,
Pete

Pete,
There are two ways of doing flat black, according to our body shop. You can strip the clearcoat, or you can mix the matte finish in with the paint. We mixed it into the paint, thereby making it more expensive, but it has a clearcoat over it, so it's fine to wax.

As always, all comments welcome.

That's not "flat black". That's a semi-gloss. That's going to show scratches really bad.
You Sewell guys need to contact Jason about advertising. No more free-loading.

Since you're doing black chrome, take the grille gaurd from the limited and black chrome it. Provides a sick effect!

DRTY, and everyone else, I'm really not meaning to advertise or solicit or anything like that. If any is offended, especially Jason, let me know and I'll stop posting these pics. I'm not trying to sell them, I just figured you guys would like to see them.
Let me know.

I thought the same thing, but everyone was saying how great it was I figured I was missing something
A true flat black or CARC H2 would look cool and could be rattle can fixed, but it would definitely not have a new vehicle look about it. I guess semi gloss is as far as you'd want to go on a brand new vehicle. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
The green civilian CARC H1's still look bad ass to me...I bet people would buy a flat green, or even a flat "desert storm" tan H2....
