The vechile paint I'm not too worried about for the most part the scratches from Kayne Creek's forest will buff out. The damage to the rims is another story but I'm now of the mind set that wheeling causes damage so live with it, as much as possible.

Would you like to share some of your favorite off-road spots? I may be headed your way (to Yuma) in the spring. I wanted to do a trail from Tuscon to Yuma without hitting the blacktop but I never found one.

Yes. Run Photos from Upper Woodpecker with H1's (March of 2005) can be found here:

It's a very doable run. The Arizona Association of 4WD Clubs rates it a 4.0 to 4.5+ out of 5.

Nice find. Anybody know how they attach? I assume that's what the "flash zinced hardware" is for...

You replace 4 lug nuts with 4 that have the receiving end for the screws. Obviously you remove the stupid little cover.

You then mount the rock rim cover. Since everything is in a pure circle, there's no need for balancing.

From my time wheeling with H1's equipped with them - they work very, very well.

I've been saved from this type of abuse only because I run wider than stock tires that give me over an inch on each side past the rim.

If you run stock tire widths, and you wheel in shale or granite areas, your rims will get munched.

Awesome! Thank you. If my trip becomes reality, I will definitely PM you for more info. I saved the link and info. I know there is a Park outside Scottsdale that you can go to also, and I'd like to come to that area and see some countryside.

I really like the Desert, I think it's absolutely beautiful, and I remember how surprised I was at some of the trail difficulty when I was down there last Spring. (and I found those trails by chance) I also got lucky and hit the Southwest during the 100 year bloom. It was really a site to see.

When I've run it (I didn't go on that run because my truck had a dead Power Steering pump and 2 cut tire sidewalls from the prior run!), it took all day. You have to drive out to Florence Junction to the trailhead.

No, but I've seriously thought about RhinoLining an entire truck before.

Somebody has to have done that before.

I'm driving an H3 today. When I signed the paperwork for the rental, they told me;
no smoking,
bring it back full;
and keep all 4 tires on the ground at all times. LMAO!
