yeah I know. At 2 1/2 years old it already has plenty of noises.
I haven't owned any car that didn't drive me nuts, though.
I've managed to learn a coping technique called "enjoy being nuts."
At the risk of appearing to be a French wank sympathizer, cest la vie.

Ah. You need to pick up some progressive rock stuff (Dream theater is my recommendation) where they do a lot of 10-20 minute tracks.

Keeping your keys on a valet key fob works well also. You can keep vehicle keys separate from house or other keys, and if they start hitting the dash, just remove the lower half.
Also, this way you don't have to shut the truck off to run back in to pick up what you forgot...it's a blonde thing!

After a week or two of brutal training, I re-solved the problem by training myself to keep the H2 key ring separate from the rest of my keys...and got rid of the foam pad I had glued to my dash that my wife hated so much due to it's white-tra****ude.
Ahhhh, now I can hear all the other beautiful noises my truck makes.

Since MY husband hears NONE of the noises I claim to in my truck, I was convinced it was a MAN thing! I can't believe you men actually hear the tapping noise of the keys on the dash! (or any of the other ones the H2's develop over time!)
I agree with whoever said "keep trading"... certainly my motto with cars!

I think padding your post count is stupid. I've NEVER done that.

Then you'd have no surround around your dash. Cutting a big hole in it wouldn't exactly look great either. Unfortunately I don't think there is a better fix than the pad or small key ring and no other keys. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
I really wasn't being serious That'd just be plain stupid. I was just sort of padding with what looked like real, non-pad content
