I feel your pain! We just got clear bra put on today. We did the front/ rear fenders flares and the rocker panels. Covered the rocker pannels complete. Covered the high impact areas of the fender flares.

I didn't want the mud flaps becuae they will more than likely gett ripped off when off roading.

Got the windows re-tinted today too. DARK!

Got the mudflaps last week and while they help, they do not prevent all of it flying up.
But, the flaps also look good on it

I have found the Mr Clean car washing system with spot free rinse great. The most time consuming part of washing a vehicle is the drying and it that isn't done well it still looks bad. Using the system, it dries great on it's own and you don't have spots.

So what do you guys (and gals ) think about needing back mud flaps? I really am not excited about putting them on my H3, whenever it comes, but want to protect the rear fender flare. Has anyone just put them on the front? I am really thinking I will go the route Timgco did and get the clear bra done. One of my main concerns is one he mentioned, off roading with them on. Does anyone know of a nation retailer that installs this stuff? Would love to see it on a vehicle in person. Tim, how much did it cost installed if you don't mind me asking?

Tim,

Thanks for the pics. Really can't see it can you. I will have to look at doing this myself. I already put $10 in the mail so keep the change

I have usually put flaps at least on the back wheels of any truck I have had, but I'm not sure about the H3. I guess I'll have to wait and see how the first "rain storm" looks on it and then decide...I usually drive through construction sites that are un-paved so it could get very muddy very quickly!

They look cool.
are they magnetic, or a sticker? were they pre cut, or did you have to trim them to fit?

That's right. If someone is tired of cleaning the dirt off of theirs, I would be more that happy to drive it and clean it for you until mine gets here

How about you H3Witch?

We made templates with paper and then traced it on the back of the clearguard. it is now dry and totally invisible.

I would recommend it 100%

Will rear mud flaps really help keep the side of the car clean? I can't even pull out of the car wash without getting all sorts of splash marks all over the side of my black H3. I'm not too concerned about mud flaps possibly interfering with off-road activities - I just want my car to stay somewhat clean if I drive through a tiny puddle or even the tiniest amount of water on the road.

OUCH Mud Flaps are required.

I have had my Slate Blue two weeks today and have 1,000 miles on it. I didn't get mud flaps and now I will be getting mudflaps and the fender flares on the rear doors sanded down and repainted.

I live off a gravel road with a 300ft gravel drive. I always have stones stuck in my tire treads. When I washed Old Blue today for the first time I have 5 places where stones have ripped the paint completly off the edges of the fender flares. When I get on I90 and run the speed up the stones are zinging out of my fron tires and wap..

Just a warning for everyone without mud flaps, hopefully they reduce the problem.
