Excellent (if off-beat) example of a brush guard protecting the truck!! Remind me to keep an eye out above the next time I visit Chicago!

I really like the look of the brush guard (black one on my Orange H2) AND it helps in protecting the vehicle. I was driving on a crowded highway in Chicago and a van dropped about a 2 feet by 3 feet piece of plywood on the highway. The wood "bounced" when it hit the ground and hit the left side of my brush guard. It turned it into about 1000 popsicle sticks but at least no damage to the car or the brush guard.

To tell you the truth, driving on the Dan Ryan in Chicago, I am lucky it was ONLY a piece of wood (i.e. all types of garbage, car parts, people parts, etc.)

Does anyone know if SMA is ever going to make the D-ring brush guard (covers part of hood, can be seen on bottom right under CUSTOM SHOP on a yellow/black H2)
I ordered my Hummer without a grill gaurd hoping they would make that.

Germany has asked the EU to ban metal bull-bars(brush guard) on SUVs. They're a danger to pedestrians, warns Germany's transportation ministry. EU is also mulling a plan to require DRL. (Motor Trend, News, Dec 02)
