Sure it's okay, but I don't see a reason too.....just costs like 50 cents or so more a gallon and raises my oil stocks value.

My FZJ80 requires a high octane gas, but the Hummers do not. It is in yourOwners manual. 87 oct. is fine

I run the 87 Oct in mine and it runs great, why pay more for the premium.

Never used anything but premium since day one. Unless making long trips like Moab. I notice a jerky response when I use anthing less.

One member on his last business trip here complained that even though both our rigs are stock mine ran noticably quieter and smoother when driving. This I could tell made him quite angry.

It was very pleasing to see.

I'm the same way.. Always run premium... One of my business partners actually had the truck while I was out of town for a week.. and he filled it up with regular.. when I got back... The truck drove different enough to where I noticed it... Filled her back up with premium and it was back to normal... Might just be me.. But I'm sticking with the premium... Also, since I have a gas station.. The premium at cost price for me is only like a 6-8 cent difference...

It's all in your head! My truck purrs like a kitten and all it's ever had is 87.
