Re: First trail in the new rig!!!
Thanks guys! It was an awesome ride.
Here's the sign at webster pass, showing elevation of 12,098 feet. That's just in the saddle. Red Cone is another 800 ft uphill

Re: First trail in the new rig!!!
Here's another shot when the clouds briefly cleared on our way down. Gave us a better perspective on what lay ahead before they closed in again. During the whiteout, we kept thinking we were on the main descent, when we actually had several more hills to go.

Re: First trail in the new rig!!!
The fog was so bad that we didn't even see the jeepers rolling in from behind until they were right on top of us. I let them pass and got this shot as we drove down out of the clouds.

The jeepers were really cool and we all decided to tackle Radical Hill together.

Re: First trail in the new rig!!!
The steep switchbacks in the distance give you elevation to bring you back to the final turn 700 ft (?) above us, which is nothing but loose gravel and moguls that (depending on your line) will have you balancing on diagonal wheels as you go from one set to the other. A locker, huge articulation or traction control is a must!
Here's a pic of me and my nephew in an old shack just off the trail. He did a good job spotting and took most of the pics, so props to Andrew! This was one of our last pics cause I hit a big rock while we were filming and the camera flew out the window
Luckily it didn't tumble too far away. The lens was smashed but the card was still good, so at least we saved the pics. We got some video too ... I just need to sign onto a hosting site and post a link.

Didn't see any babies, but there was a whole herd of them at the top of Radical Hill. They didn't mind us at all ... just kept on playing and butting heads, like we weren't even there.

Did you run Radical hill? If so, how narrow was it? Anymore pics?

Yeah, we went up with a couple of Jeeps. We started to film the climb, but didn't get much before I hit a bump and the camera flew out the window and broke.
It's all narrow and steep, but if you keep to the slope, the H3 has a foot or two left before you're over the side. You're off camber for a lot of it, but the H3 felt very stable and in control. The switchbacks are really tight, but with the right line you won't have to make a 3 pointer to get around them.
Here's the link to my videos. They're all raw footage from the digital camera, only a couple of minutes each.

Yeah, it's addicting tho. Maybe I should wheel in moderation. Don't want to end up in H-anon

Re: First trail in the new rig!!!
The front end looked higher on the lot, but I swear it's settled a bit since I took it offroad and now it has the same stance of everyone else's. I'm thinking about cranking the tbars now to even it out.
