Initially, I didn?t notice anything other than a few people asking/teasing me
about gas mileage or just commenting on the H3 being a little more plain on the inside than they would have thought. It was my passengers that brought all the one finger salutes to my attention. The ?cola? incident and crotch prints all occurred over the Texas/OU weekend (that?s a big thing here in the part of town I live in). Lots of college kids in an extremely altered state. Most of the other nasty comments regarding my H3 and H3?s in general, have come from those in-duh-viduals who think a H1 is THE ONLY vehicle worthy of the Hummer name. Of course, the closest they have ever gotten to a Hummer product is at the Auto Show.

I guess, I?ve become immune to that crap now or it has abated somewhat. Either way it doesn?t matter to me, as long as I LIKE MY H3.

However, the Whole Foods Market parking lot is still a hoot.

Like f5fstop said, WGAF what others think regarding one?s choice of vehicle.

Later,

Gunner_45

Just tell the asshats that yesterday while taking on Moab you were worried that you were going to run out of gas...you searched and couldn't find a damn Prius ANYWHERE to siphon some from.

Yea, quote the EPA mpg numbers which is what most people do. Very few people really check (calculate) their gas mileage.

We don't hear much where I live. Of course, living in Lexington, Ky once you get outside the city limits Chevy and Ford 4X4's with 37's and lifts are pretty normal sights. Afterall, it is KY. There is a huge population of 1's, 2's and now 3's in Lexington. Range Rovers, Expeditions and Tahoes are 3 or 4 to every block in the city. Being a previous Tahoe owner, I know firsthand, they can't talk about mileage. I get the typical "a$$hole" looks every now and then, but nobody ever say's anything.

Next year cover your truck in KY jelly. It shouldn't hurt the truck and will get all over them when they try to hump it.

I used to have a Yukon Denali and some Greenpeace punk saw me get out on 68th and Columbus and asked "Would you like to save the planet?" So I said "See this truck right here? Does it look like I give a sh#t about the planet?"

Now I have an '06 M5 that burns 93 octane at 9mpg the way I drive and am in the market for an H3 which I hope gets just about the same gas mileage. Just doing my part to help the economy.

Next year I'll have to make sure I'm parked under one of the security cams.

Could make for some intersting footage to post on the forum.

(With or without the KY)

BParker: It appears you have more than one clone. In addition to the one
I spotted T-Day night, there is yet another that has surfaced in Arlington.

Personally, I can't swing a dead cat wihthout hitting another black base
like mine. I've got to get some mods on mine---Pronto.....

Regards.
