Steve, hope you're enjoying your new toy. Darn, I was hoping I could pick up one of those hood ornaments at the local Walmart. Lol. Nice web site by the way. The best of luck with your band!

Is there another dealership nearby? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Well the closest one to me is about 20 mins away which is where I went.. The salesman seemed like a nice low pressure guy which would make me interested in giving him business... The second closest one is 40 mins away... Both are in the suburbs of Chicago.. I'll tell ya the Slate Blue is sharp looking!! Is the Adventure package better in the snow?? j/c??
Yeah I'm pretty sure I can get the GMID.. I got it on my Navigator which I'd be selling.. I live in Chicago but my family has a second home in Michigan, so maybe we can do the same with getting the GMID there, pay Michigan taxes (lots cheaper) and have a fun 300 mile drive back... That is if the suv can get up to 80 mph on the highway, </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Believe me, it will do 80 mph in the flat state of MI, provided you don't blow a tire in one of our infamous pot holes. I was doing 85 in the hills of TN last week.
However, you won't save on sales tax if you purchase in MI and license it in IL. The dealership won't charge you for tax, and you will have to pay IL tax when you get it plated (I purchased three of my last four cars out of state.) Unless you first license it in MI, but you need a MI driver's license and residency to do that.
If you are considering this, the dealer in Clinton Twp, MI where I purchased mine at, accepts GMID, GMS; hell, the accept anything that says GM on it.
