Quote "Spidey, give the kid a 5 minute test drive before he gets to drive in front of his friends or any crowd. Dangerous things can happen when an excited kid drives a huge truck in front of his equally excited date and friends. None of us drive too well when showing off, wave and laugh at the same time."
Duly noted. Sound advice Mac. I remember in school 2 of my buddies were showing off to the Ladies from a distance in a Parking lot doing doughnuts, power braking etc. They then came closer to the crowd into a newer parking lot and stopped to chat for a bit. When they went to leave he once again began power braking, smoke was everyway. We were all caught in the moment watching, He then let go of the brake and went straight into a light pole in the lot. Passengers head went through windshield. No one seriously hurt, car written off and honestly funny as hell but Could have been fatal. They were lucky only their ego's hurt. Dad wasn't too pleased about his car either.

Wow... if that isn't over the top, it surely is near the peak! The word "hideous" pops to mind...
Makes me wonder what the clothing line looks like... Gutter clothing? Sounds appealing.

Well, it's not my style - I'm actually not convinced that I want to drive a vehicle with advertising on it at all - but as far as vehicle wraps go that one is pretty tame!!! Check out this H1 for example:

Here are some quotes from the site where I found the last few pictures supporting advertising on Hummers:
<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>
"Having our company logo on the Hummer is the single most powerful marketing tool at our disposal. It has an enormous impact across all demographics through it's diversity and sheer mobility!"<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>
"The Hummer was an instant attraction - there was no missing it! They are so rare and so adored that people just went nuts as soon as they saw it."<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>
"Having the Hummer has definitely worked for us. People come around wherever we go to touch it, see it, feel it and run their hands over it just to say they've seen a Hummer. It works wonders for our recruiting drives targeting 17-29 year old men. The Hummer is a high status symbol, and it is the thing to have if you want to be regarded as a high status organization. It is our main attraction when we go all around the world."<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
Note that these quotes refer to the use of H1 Hummers.

The reason we started with magnets was because we weren't sure we wanted to be 'on' all the time. But it's friggin' impossible to go incognito with any H2, let alone a yellow one.
And since we just got a matching yellow United cargo trailer [if you can find the yellow, it's an EXACT match] we're going to put vinyl all over both, I think.

Yes, I agree, I'm not sure that I want to be on vacation 100s of miles from home and still advertising.

Have to take your word for it... hope to find out for myself sometime soon.

Sounds great, be sure to post some pictures when it is done - and some anecdotes about all of the business you are generating!

I believe that the advertising angle can work positively or negatively, depending on how its done. You've got to consider it from the public's perception when they see a H2 with full wrap avertisement versus a H2 with some cool advertising graphics in the back and side rear windows.
Around our town, we generally say something like " look at that idiot in the H2 decorated like a pepporoni pizza" or, "or there's that fool with the H2 that looks like a steak on a grill".
This is compared to what we say about the other types of H2 advertising, eg. " there goes the cool H2 that belongs to the guy that owns his own company" (security company) or (custom accessories company), (etc)

I think that considering:
<UL TYPE=SQUARE>
It will be my daily driver.
It will sometimes be taken on family trips.
There is no large corporate marketing budget.
There are no shows or special events involved in my business.
I'm basically pretty conservative.[/list]
I'm 99% sure that it will come down to window graphics only.

I agree with you Blg615 I think when they completely wrap the graphics around the vehicle it really makes it look cheesy and cheapens it. Excessive amounts of advertising completely takes away the body lines of the vehicle causing it to lose it's character. The H2 is an outstanding vehicle to look at and admire "window accents" can actually add class to the vehicle if at least if done right. It will be looked at not laughed at.

I concur with previous posts -window graphics are the classiest, plus won't fade the paint. One thing that occurred to me: I'm worried about scratching off the graphics during offroading. If you put the grahics on the body panels, they could then be covered by the magnet panels -sort of like a 'cloaking device' [groan] for your graphics. Just a thought -I haven't made up my mind yet.

"But no one can deny the H2's promotional potential. With its head-turning appearance, 18 square feet of hood and 38 square feet of doors (not to mention side and rear panels), the H2 makes for the ultimate mobile billboard. If you have a logo to display, consider trading in a few company cars for an H2." - profitguide.com - your online guide to business success

What are you sorry about? I'm more and more convinced - window only and probably just lettering since I don't really have a logo...
It's a bit different if you're a paid driver in someone else's corporate owned vehicle like the Coors truck... I mean, he's presumably not taking that when he goes to visit the in-laws, right?

Saw this one on Ebay today - now THIS is over the top! Oh well, peel the wrap off it and you'd have a perfectly nice yellow H2!
