I agree.. I love that commercial.. It does the job.. You remember the commmercial and you know what the product is they are selling..
RE: The article on another site. Big Deal.. not like it's 60 minutes.. AS a retailer.. I would love the free advertising.

Being a "Non-H2" owner I feel the need to throw in my 2 cents on this one. I have seen this commercial a few times before, and I admit that it does its job. You remember it, and you remember what it is advertising. I do not believe that the kid cheats (it says first to the bottom...nothing else), but it does bring up some other moral issues.
First off...it does not follow the "tread lightly" campain that Hummer endorces(sp?). Private property or not, it shows a kid driving across previously undisturbed ground eventhough a legitamit path is right there.
Secondly...it gives people the illusion that the H2 is a vehicle that can actually be taken off-road, which as we all know is not the case.
Lastly (to the writer of the article),ITS A COMMERCIAL (a memorable commercial at that). GET OVER IT!!!

DENNIS!!! - Could you please give Shaggy an appropriate photo to go along with his comment. Hey Shags at one point it was all undisturbed. It gets disturbed everytime you drag your skewed moralistic ass along it.

IMPORTANT POINT ABOUT THE VIRGIN LAND IDEA
When the wooden Hummer goes over the grassy hill and they shoot the camera uphill to the H2 coming down look closely. You will see there are already two tracks in the grass in front and to the right of the H2. Look c-l-o-s-e-l-y, you will see it. I noticed it one of the first couple of times I saw the ad.
Now I admit the tracks look as if they are the same width as the H2, but they may be from another golfcart H2 or something enirely different. They may be from the land owner developing a trail for the kids. Heck, I do not care. And they are not necessarily those of a previous take.
The point is, that hill is not virgin territory. It even has a road on it.
Now you know I must like that commercial if I even noticed the darn grass. I am such a loser.

Some people on this site have way to much time on their hands. Why not let the people that like the Ad enjoy it, and for those that dont like it then they can flip the channel threw the rest of the 499 other choices. And if all else fails, get off your fat ass and enjoy the outdoors, spend time with the family or go wash your filthy truck, if its clean then spend quality time with it in the mud. Just my 2 cents.

I just read the article again today for the second time and I have come to the conclusion that Seth Stevenson is still a jerkoff!
I am sure most of you have gone to the hummer.com web site and viewed all 9 of the commercial spots. My favorite is the one titled "Beach". Its almost mesmerizing. I dig everything about that commercial from the music, the yellow H2, the roar of the engine in the background and the hot chick riding inside. That commercial in itself is enough to make you go out and buy an H2.
