they sell the mirrors for the M5 on www.beastpower.com for $895. I just used it for the M3 as well. It looks pretty cool, and basically makes your radar detector invisible. The V1 is hardwired into the cars. It also displays the info for the lidatek as well. Lidatek is at www.lidatek.com Hope this helps. They may make mirrors for other cars as well, but I have no idea where they would sell them.

I love it, but I think it makes me too overconfident about speeding. One of the reasons I got my H2 was to slow down, and it has worked for me so far. But my setup has saved my ass quite a few times. I will swear by both the V1 and the lidatek, especially since laser is now so prevalent. even the best radar/laser detector (V1 imho) doesn't help much with laser because laser is truly instant on and is aimed directly at your front plate. I bought my lidatek via a group buy on the bmwm5.com forum. Lidatek loves group buys and wouold work with us if we wanted to do one here. aYou definately need to buy two for a vehicle as large as the H2, but they sure do work.

Thanks for the info, argonaut. Both are impressive and innovative add-ons.

V1 has been good for me... How are you guys mounting it in the H2 though? I don't like the visor mount and the windshield is to vertical for the suction cup mounts. Anyone use a rear view mirror bracket made for the Vette?

I bought an adjustable windshield bracket at AutoZone. Look in the car stereo section. I think it was about $10. My V1 sits on top of the bracket. Works well.

Hey Klaus,
Do you have a picture of this bracket? I been to our AutoZone stores and they have nothing. How about a brand name or other info - Thanks

The mount is a Metra RoadWorks Radar Detector Windshield Mount model AW-PL00.
It is in a hanging blister package along with the car audio installation kits. Look for a yellow and black package with red stripes.
I just bought another one this weekend to mount a Garmin GPS unit.
