Three H1's started our trip today. One started blowing oil all over the place as we pulled off the hiway and got parked there. The owner took it in stridea nd hitched a ride with a second H1. The second one had some "sputtering" problems at one point and wouldn't start or idle. It seemed to recover, but the driver opted to take the owner of the dead one back to the hiway and help him out. The third H1 decided to go back from the mines "the easy way." This left four H2's and a Range Rover to tackle the rougher, more fun canyon road out - and we all made it just fine. I've always wanted an H1. Still do. But today has given me some second thoughts on buying an older, used, high mileage one.....

H2's ROCK!

ps - and that funky little Range Rover was pretty awesome! The driver seemed VERY experienced and he knew that vehicle. I was damned impressed! </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Exscuse me Sean, my truck ran fine after about a minute...Just had some dirt in the lines, after I gassed it for a minute it was fine. Greg ask me to go back out because it was getting late to tow his truck. Gotta stand up for the "old h1 crowd"

BTW, It was good meeting you and Jennifer yesterday...I may have a pic or two of your truck I'll post it. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Hey..didn't mean to impune your rig!!! You did the gentlemanly thing taking him back to his. And yes, your "sputter" was short-lived!

Thanks for meeting us again today! That was fun - and I wanna see your video!!!! For the rest of you, here's the deal - we went out again today, an H1, my H2, two Heeps, and a Toyota 4x Pickup. There was one long, steep, loose, sandy, SERIOUS hill that the trucks and the Heeps tried and failed to ascend. Jon took it with ease in his H1, showed me the line, gave me some good pointers, and I took it in the H2!!! Very cool. Hummers rule. The Heeps were cool about it though - they cheered and congratulated us and we moved on. A VERY good run today.

Thanks for the pointers, Jon!

Sean-

Heres the video - I threw a picture of that red SUT in it so you can tell what that little hill is actually like.

You'll have to post up that video of Jennifer almost rooling...

Next time we meet up, I'll get you a copy on a cd.

Why does everything look so much easier on video??? You didn't get vid of the truck and the Jeep NOT being able to make it up that big hill did you? Anyway, THANK you for your help today - it was a BLAST! And thanks for the vid - as soon as I get the one from yesterday, it'll be posted - and Jen can shoot me afterwards.....
