Bumper is ON. I haven't had time to build the tire carrier for it yet, so I will finish off the final paint when that's done.

BTW, you like that little crease in the back door? Wheeling off ledges with the stock tire carrier is not recommended.

We spend some time building gas tank skids for it today. They turned out pretty good.

BTW - Whiskey and welding go good together. See if you can tell from the pics.

Nice looking rig you got there.

You should come out and run the Rubicon in that thing.

Bite me bish. It's not that long!

BTW, nice work. I guess the whiskey leads to extra welds.

That's what I keep saying about Moab.

Johnson Valley is only 400 miles away from me though.

NICE pics BTW!!!!! That is one bad trail!!!!!

In all honesty!!! WHat mods do you see your JK needing to do this type of trail? I know you are locked up front and rear with skids, bumpers, lift of 3" or 4" and 35's. Most rigs that I have seen run that trail are buggies or highly moded Jeeps. Did you widh you had 37's? more power? bead locks? more or less width to the Jeep?

I wish I could have been there to see it.

I just finished my tire carrier this weekend. It took a while because I've been really busy with work, traveling, and vacation. Here she is, via some crappy camera phone pics.

It turned out pretty well. I used 3/16" tubing all around. 2x3 for the swing arm, and the rest is 2x2. I used a beefy 1-3/8" hinge from Nates4x4 and a McMaster locking latch. It is mounted on my Shrockworks bumper. I also put on a couple of stops on the rear door to prevent vibration/movement. It's pretty solid and doesn't move a bit when I'm driving around. I think it weighs about 70lbs, but that is just a guess. I psyched!
